These are a few oils from the early 90's on. I loved the richness of color and texture but could no longer handle the solvents. Now solvents and paints have been made safer, tempting me once again.
I have recently tried Genesis 'oils' and love them. They don't dry until you're ready to dry them. I'll add pics as I can.

"Cottage" oil is from a Norma Poulos design.
This is an oil painting--my design--to go with my Southwestern decor in the family room.
Pots and feathers pic is from a misplaced packet. I'll add designer asap.
The "Elk" was given to my husband for his office. From a packet by Cheri Rol
This waterfall also used to hang in my husband's office. Bob Ross technique.
A friend brought me this picture of a church in Mexico and requested a painting.
I don't claim to be a trained fine artist, and I'm clearly out of my element with perspective. I had help with levels and grid overlays to keep most structures looking upright.
I've finally made it through the most stressful parts, and I'm on to the foreground! This would be more relaxing.
I took liberties with the landscaping and added hidden hearts throughout the painting for fun. A work of love, for sure.
Here it is in a frame. Overall, it measures about 27" x 36". She seems to be happy with it, but never again will I attempt anything that structured!
A Betty Caithness packet inspired this painting, but I deleted and added several elements. This was painted on 4" squares of 1/4" wood, then covered with resin and grouted. Measures 18" x 26" framed. Kept this one. 2005
Finally up on the wall!
Gift for a friend, Mary. (Color scheme altered from original design)
Only after up-loading this pic that I noticed my flag is going the wrong direction. :)

A special request Christmas gift for a friend, Vickie. Unfortunately, it wasn't completed until January 2007. My design.
We tried a simple, stained frame,...
but ultimately went with a matte black.

This angel is from a packet designed by Marjorie Harris-Clark.
He is 39" tall and was designed to be painted on a wood cutout. Because of reaching problems, I used acrylic primed canvas from the roll.
I started at his head and worked my way down, folding under the easel or draping over the top as needed.
After he was finished, we cut him out, traced his outline to 1/4" plywood, and my husband cut him out. We then glued him in place.

Finally done!

This is another project designed by Marjorie Harris-Clark called "Tea With Aunt Emily." She was painted on canvas, like the preceding angel, cut out, and attached to wood.
Her body, from head to hip, is about 30" tall, and is designed to sit in a chair, with a cushion for her lap, draped in fabric. I took some liberties with Emily and made her a belted skirt. Eventually, I added "legs" and old-fashioned, lace-up boots.
I've found faces are quite a challenge for me, so I guess that means more study in the future if I'm to improve.:)
This is from an internet picture, but is far from done. I'm anxious to get back to painting!
Unfinished, but love this artist. He paints with acrylic and a pallet knife. I practiced "The Blue Gate" with Genesis oils and a brush. Not finished though.
This is my unusual memorial booklet. I would love getting one like this at a service. I wanted to let people 'hear' from me--one last time.
