Amber and babies (August 20, 2002)Amber is my third pregnant foster. I brought her home on August 17, 2002.
She is a really gorgeous satin american.
Amber had her pups on August 18, 2002!
She had four, but two were stillborn. She has two left, one red and white female and one self red male. Neither of the pups are satins and both appear to be americans. |

The Guys (June 23, 2002)These are my male pigs.
I bought Nelson from a PetCo in October, before I knew better. I had him neutered in June and he died due to complications from surgery and incompetent vetting.
I adopted Riley and Charles from San Francisco Animal Care and Control in early November. They were picked up in a large group of 28 pigs who had been living in their own waste, with no food and moldy water. They are a bonded pair, total best friends. They now both live with Nellie, since they are both neutered. Two male-one female pairs usually don't work - I'm pretty lucky. I chalk it up to Charles and Riley being so close.
I adopted Spike from Cavy Spirit also. He is a total sweetheart. Charles and Spike really did not like each other, so I separated the cage and adopted a buddy for Spike, also from Cavy Spirit. His name is Reginald, he's 1 month old and such a loud mouth! Anything sets him off. He yells at me when he hears my footsteps come up the stairs to the front door. I pretend that it's because he's glad to see me, but it's really only because he's hungry. |
