I bought Nelson from a PetCo in October, before I knew better. I had him neutered in June and he died due to complications from surgery and incompetent vetting.
I adopted Riley and Charles from San Francisco Animal Care and Control in early November. They were picked up in a large group of 28 pigs who had been living in their own waste, with no food and moldy water. They are a bonded pair, total best friends. They now both live with Nellie, since they are both neutered. Two male-one female pairs usually don't work - I'm pretty lucky. I chalk it up to Charles and Riley being so close.
I adopted Spike from Cavy Spirit also. He is a total sweetheart. Charles and Spike really did not like each other, so I separated the cage and adopted a buddy for Spike, also from Cavy Spirit. His name is Reginald, he's 1 month old and such a loud mouth! Anything sets him off. He yells at me when he hears my footsteps come up the stairs to the front door. I pretend that it's because he's glad to see me, but it's really only because he's hungry.
