My first visit to the Pier Show. Gave myself a budget and really stuck to it. Actually came in under budget. I saw lots of things I wanted, but I walked away planning for another day.

Ciner Necklace Front - 11-15-08 I was glad I was sitting down when I took this out of the showcase. I told the people around me that I needed some nitro pills. What an absolute beauty. My mind flashed to Elizabeth Taylor--do not ask me why!!
Ciner Necklace Back - 11-15-08 The back detail is just as wonderful as the front. Truly outstanding detail in how these molds were made. Had to be a mold maker who worked on fine jewelry.
Ciner Necklace Clasp Front - 11-15-08 Look at this clasp. The slide goes in at 1 o'clock adding to the fine detail. A mark of excellent workmanship. If produced today, I could not imagine what it would cost.
Ciner Necklace Clasp Back - 11-15-08 Here is the back of the clasp. You can see how this was constructed so that the clasp falls correctly on the neck and is hidden. Only fine jewelry has this kind of detail. To manufacture this today would be outrageous.
Ciner Bracelet-11-15-08 How about this bracelet. One could wear the bracelet and earrings for an evening out and be the bell of the ball.
Ciner Bracelet Full - 11-15-08 Full view of the bracelet. Again a hidden clasp.
Bettina Von Walhof Xmas Tree Back - 11-15-08 The back of the Christmas Tree by Bettina Von Walhof. What a beauty. It measures 6"x4" and I guess weighs about 2 lbs. The amount of individual soldering shows how much work went into just this one piece. As I am not taking jewelry making classes (although for fine jewelry) I have come to appreciate the work involved in making an original piece.
Bettina Von Walhof Xmas Tree Front - 11-15-08 Front of the tree by BvW filled with smoky marquis stones and highlighted with red and white round rhinestones. The garland is movable so you can imagine the detail work.
Early Hollycraft - 11-15-08 The early Hollycraft piece. I have always loved this series and called it my Christmas Collection. This was a wonderful find.
