2006 UP vacation
John and I went to the UP for a mini-vacation, and to pit for Kris at the Loose Moose Enduro in Marquette.  Most of the pictures are from the Seney National Wildlife Refuge.

The day was clearing up... you can see where the sun is lighting the left half of the pic (it was really strange, the picture is accurate)

There were several ponds to see, and most had swans on them

Caught a butterfly flying by as we were driving...
it cleared up, the wind died down, and all the ponds were calm.

They looked like they were ready to race, but they just stand with their foot up like that.  Strange...
