Anonymous - Factory 3 "Recruits"
One of the more curious aspects of this set is the "anonymous" backed cards. No manufacturer is present - only the factory designations appear.
These cards are present with either Factory 3 (LA) or Factory 25 (VA) as the designation. Further confusing the matter is the distribution across card classes. The Factory 25 designation only appears with Broadleaf-class cards, while Factory 3 appears with both. This led to early beliefs that the Factory 3-backed cards were the only T207s with which you could complete a full set.
Current thinking is that this is not the case, but that Factory 3 designated cards were printed with all Broadleaf-class poses, but only with a fraction of the Recruit-class players.
At present, it is hypothesized that 50 Recruit-class cards will be found with the "Anonymous - Factory 3" back- 49 players are confirmed. |
