Dismounting tires from a set of Budd split ring (not split rim) dual wheels as found on 1939-47 Dodge trucks and 1946-68 Dodge Power Wagons and other years. The rims were in great shape and I wanted to keep them that way. Tires were expendable. Dismounted in about an hour with a few simple tools. No risk of damage from careless use of tire hammer or pry bars by local shop.

Remove valve stem, or not...
Pennsylvania brand road tires.
Same brand inner tubes
Rims will be going on this truck. Currently has stock rims mounted backwards.
Using a Sawzall, cut through tread and sidewall all the way around.
Cut through other side and remove tire, tube, and flap.
Cut through bead at split in ring. Finish cut with angle grinder and cut-off wheel. Do both beads.
Spread gap in ring just enough to insert pry bar in first slot in ring.
Pry slot out just enough to pry ring upward to clear lip on rim.
Lift ring and move on to next slot in ring. Repeat.
Done!
No damage to split ring or rim
