Our monthly outing was a trip to Spider Meadow. It was raining in Lynnwood when we left but the weather was pretty good with only a few showers and a lot of sun breaks, which is the best you can hope for in mid October.

When we started hiking, Peter S. was having a hard time and stopping to rest about every two minutes. When I checked his pack, I found that he was carrying the complete set of the Chronicles of Narnia. We sent one of the older boys back to the car with them and he did much better after that.
