Brooks Ace
1. Brooks Ace
Ace is Dean's buddy. They love to hunt and ride through woods, and look for squirrels. Ace is registered with U.K.C. and U.K.C.I. Ace is a high red chocolate, and weighs 18#, and has some exceptional muscles. He is also capable of jumping almost four feet off the ground from a stand still.
Ace has several Champion grand kids, a few Grand Champion grand kids, some Champion great grand kids, and a few great, great, grand kids in the show ring. Some of these dogs were also in the Top Ten in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012,  2013, 2014, and 2015.   Ace has passed on some exceptional genes. It is with a very heavy heart that our "ACE" has passed on. Ace left this world on March 15, 2016, and he will surely be missed. RIP ACE.....God's Speed buddy...........

Brooks Macie May
2. Brooks Macie May
Macie can be pretty goofy at times and still acts like a puppy. Her favorite spot in the house is on the couch next to me. Macie is our foundation bitch. She has produced two very nice litters for us. One of the pups we kept is named Reesie and from her breedings we have produced the #1 Teddy Roosevelt Terrier Top Ten Winner in the U.S. for 2010, 2011, and 2012, and The Award of Excellence for 2013, 2014,and 2015. Macie has several grand, great grand, and great great grand dogs now. Macie has been spayed and retired. Because of her playfulness, her love to race around the house, and clown like behavior, we have nicknamed her "Racer". It comes with a very heavy heart to say our Macie has crossed over 11-1-2019. Our pack leader is gone, but will always be remembered. The dogs really miss her for so many reasons, and no one has stepped up as pack leader to take her place.  Love you  "Racer"

Brooks Reesie May
3. Brooks Reesie May
Reesie is from our first breeding with Ace and Macie. I call her my velcro dog. It's hard to move without her and she always wants to be near me. She is very loving, and very sweet, and well muscled...an exceptional female who weighs 19# She is registered with U.K.C. and U.K.C.I.  Reesie has passed on her loving temperament to all of her puppies. Reesie also was tested for PLL and it came back "Clear". She was also tested for DM and that came back clear. I am so happy that all Reesie's puppies are now clear of PLL and DM. Reesie is now retired.

Reesie has produced several UKC Champions, a few UKC Grand Champions, and now has her third and fourth generation in the show ring. Reesie, bred to Archie, have put their pups in the Top Ten in the U.S. since 2009, and the TOP TEN Winner for 2010, 2011, and 2012, and an Award of Excellence for 2013, 2014 and 2015. Other puppies have had several Top Ten placements over the years. She now has grand pups in the Top Ten as well. Reesie also has  great grand pups in the show ring right now, and some who have made the Top Ten. I think she has passed on some exceptional genes, and some beautiful off spring. I love her so much. This is the pup and the dog I wish I could have around forever, she is the perfect dog. That however was not in the cards and on 4-6-2016, my beautiful baby girl, REESIE crossed over the rainbow bridge. My heart is broken. You can run free now my beautiful girl and wait for me at the rainbow bridge, I love you Reesie.  You are missed everyday!

Brooks Emma Lou
4. Brooks Emma Lou
Emma is Reesie's littermate. We kept two females from that first breeding. This is Dean's female who someday might hunt the squirrels like her sire. She is daddy's girl and is one solid tri color female. Emma is PLL and DM clear through parentage.
She has enjoyed all the fun we have had with all pups in and out of the show ring. She has helped all the pups with their pecking order as they arrived here as well. Emma was always a pet, not a breeder and she has been spayed. In June of 2019, Emma has gone to the rainbow bridge to be with some her family. We love you and will miss you dear Emma.

Brooks Ardent Archie May
7. Brooks Ardent  Archie May
Archie is a well muscled little stud dog. He probably weighs in the 12# range right now.  He is independent, strong willed, very loving, and loves to lay beside you on the couch. He is just a remarkable dog! Archie was tested for PLL and DM and they came back "Clear". He is registered with U.K.C. and U.K.C.I. Archie came to us as a pup, from Mike Staples, Caney Creek Kennel in La.

When bred to Reesie, they have produced several Champion dogs, and a few Grand Champion dogs. His pups have been in the Top Ten from 2009. Right now we are very proud to say Archie has SIRED the Top Ten Winner in the U.S. for  2010, 2011, and 2012, and sired the winner of the Award of Excellence Top Ten for 2013, 2014, and 2015. AMAZING.....

Archie has relocated to MS. now and is producing some beautiful off spring.

With a heavy heart, Archie has passed on to the rainbow bridge 9-9-2016. I am so sad about this news. My heart hurts. Run free Archie, you are an amazing little dog and have left us with beautiful off spring. We love you Archie.

U.K.C. GRCH. Brooks N Mays Dunbar
10. U.K.C. GRCH. Brooks N Mays Dunbar
Dunbar is from our second breeding with Reesie and Archie. He was an exceptional pup at birth, and was my pick of the litter as soon as he was born. He is a fine example of the TRT breed and has an outstanding temperament. He is a very loving pup.

Dunbar earned his Championship at 7 months old, and holds the #3 position in the Teddy Roosevelt Terrier Top Ten in the U.S. for 2010.  Who does that!!!!!

June 2011, Dunbar won The Best of Breed Top Ten held in Kalamazoo, MI. Dunbar went on to get through two rounds of semi finals and made the Top 20 for the Top Ten Finals in 2011. There were 461 dogs who competed in this event. This was a first for this breed and we are very proud of our boy, and proud of the fact we took the breed to the top. To date, no other TRT has reached this accomplishment. I am so so very proud. Dunbar is the #1 Teddy Roosevelt Terrier in the U.S. for 2011.

Dunbar received his Grand Championship at the MI Classic Dog Show in March 2012. Dunbar won 1st place, Best of Breed Top Ten at Premier in June of 2012. Our boy also won the Award of Excellence Top Ten at Premier in 2013, and also won the GRCH Class on Friday during Premier 2013. Also, for 2013, Dunbar has won two GROUP FOUR, and two GROUP ONE, and RESERVE BEST IN MUTI BREED SHOW.

Dunbar is in the Top Ten for 2014 also!! Dunbar took the Best of Breed at Premier, Friday June 13, 2014. He also won Group 3 with a really full Terrier Group of 17 dogs.  My beautiful boy, you make me so proud!

On 8-23-14 Dunbar took a GROUP 1 from both the Judges that day. The next day he received another Group 1 and a Group 2.  That's my boy!  He is also in the Top Ten again this year.

For the Invitational Top Ten 2015 in June Dunbar won the Award Of Excellence, and also won a BOB that week end. He is currently in the Top Ten for 2015.  "GO Dunbar!"

He is a beautiful boy! He is the most loving, good natured boy anyone could ask for. Dunbar is PLL "Clear" through parentage and has tested "Clear" for DM.  He is registered with U.K.C. and U.K.C.I. He has become a real blessing to our home and we hope you enjoy his album, he makes me cry tears of joy and pride. Love you Dunbar!  My heart beats for this boy!

Glad you stopped by!  With pride.....

U.K.C. CH. Brooks N Mays Tanka
11. U.K.C. CH. Brooks N Mays Tanka
This is Tanka. He is also from our second Reesie/Archie breeding. Wohota and Dunbar's full brother. Tanka weighs about 12# and is very well muscled. We both really love this little guy. He is almost a clone of his sire, Archie, and is a true joy to have around the house. He is very well muscled, extremely curious, and a whole lot of fun. He makes everybody laugh. He sits up pretty, and begs, he "speaks" in his indoor voice to get your attention,  takes the clothes out of the dryer for me, unscrews my water bottles, carries his own lead, will not leave my side, and tries to be helpful! His antics are never ending. Tanka is PLL "Clear" and also DM "clear" through parentage. He is registered with U.K.C. and U.K.C.I.

Tanka entered the show ring for only one day in late Aug. 2010, and received 70 points and two competition wins towards his championship. June 2011, in the Teddy Roosevelt Terrier Speciality held in Kalamazoo, Mi., Tanka took 1st place Jr. Class Male, Best of Winners, Best Male, and he won The Teddy Roosevelt Best of Breed. Our handsome boy is now a Champion. Tanka holds 5th place in the Top Ten Teddy Roosevelt Terrier's in the U.S. for 2011. The judges where impressed with his structure for a smaller TRT, and also loved his personality! We are so proud of this little guy. He has the best temperament and is such a fun dog! Tanka is retired and neutered as of 2016, and still his silly ole self. Love this little man! We hope you enjoy Tanka's album, and will visit again.

He won his Championship in 2013 and went on to make the Top Ten. He participated in the Teddy Roosevelt Terrier Top Ten June 12, 2014 and won the Award of Excellence. Wohota is a very compact, well structured, gorgeous , TRT with great movement. He weighs about 16#.  He is a quiet, sometimes shy guy, who is very loving. Wohota is PLL CLEAR and DM CLEAR through parentage. I love his temperament. He has been a joy and I am very happy to have him back home.

13. C.C.K.'s Misty Waters at Brooks
This beautiful pearl and white with tan gal is from Mike Staples in La., Caney Creek Kennel. Misty's PLL test came back a "carrier". She is DM clear through parentage.  She is just a bundle of energy and a true beauty who just loves the woods. Her date of birth is 3-24-10.  We love all Mike's dogs, and this new addition will fit right in with our pack. Misty's sire is UKC GRCH Caney Creek Stonewall Jackson, who is also a pearl and white. Misty is registered with U.K.C. and U.K.C.I. Misty bred to Dunbar produced one litter and out of that litter of five we had two CH. one of which also loved to do Terrier races.

B.B. is a blue and white with tan, gentle, loving pup. She has come to us from Mike Staples, Caney Creek Kennel. in La. She is registered with U.K.C.I. and also with U.K.C.  B.B. is an entirely different pup when you get her out in the woods. She absolutely loves running through the woods and exploring whatever mother nature puts in her path.  A true, "nose to ground" terrier. She is just a beautiful pup.

15. TDK's Cedar Cider at Brooks
This little power house, and low to the ground, came to us from a TDK ,Sherri Chatterton, in North Carolina breeding. She is U.K.C. registered. She will become Dean's new baby girl. Dean would love another dog to hunt with, and this little one will fit the bill just fine. She comes from strong hunting lines, absolutely loves the woods, and is off to a great start. She is so loving, loves to give kisses and is such a joy! Enjoy her album and the family pictures. Stop by often and she how she does. It breaks my heart to say Cedar died on 9/11/2022, she was 12 years old. She will be missed and was dearly loved.

UKC CH Brooks N Mays Cobalt Blue
16. UKC CH Brooks N Mays Cobalt Blue
This is "Coby". Coby is from our 1st breeding with Misty and Dunbar. He is a beautiful blue and white with tan TRT.

Coby is a larger male, with good heavy bone. Coby has  good conformation, and carries himself beautifully. Coby weighs 18# and represents the breed very well.  He has a nice laid back temperament and is a true Brooks lover. We think he is an exceptional male pup. Coby is a PLL carrier.

BROOKS N MAYS COBALT BLUE took his Championship win and a Group 2, at Whitmore Lake, Mi. 8-24-12. Thank you Judge Deb Beean.

Coby's sire is GRCH BROOKS N MAYS DUNBAR, who won the UKC Top Ten Best of Breed in the U.S. in 2011, and in 2012. Dunbar also took the Award of Excellence in 2014 and 2015.  I think Coby is a beautiful boy! His litter mate Snowy is also a Champion and  great at Terrier Racing.

As of 9/13 Coby was relocated to MS. MY heart misses him a great deal. He was our next generation to be bred. I hurt because he isn't here.  Love you Coby

UKC CH Brooks N Mays The Herald Angel
17. UKC CH Brooks N Mays The Herald Angel
Herald is from our Reesie and Archie's 3rd litter. The litter was born 12-21-11, so we have Christmas Holiday related names for this litter.

Herald learned to stack himself at 10 weeks old. I was working with Coby and Herald was off to the side watching. When I mentioned the word "stack" to Coby, I noticed Herald would throw back a hind leg in a stack position. It became a joke at first, until I took Herald aside and said "stack". That hind leg would go back and he waited for his treat! Well, I said to Herald," Herald, you need to put both legs back in a stack position", you can do better." When I said "better", he did throw back that other leg...too funny.  We had fun with it...visiting the vets office, and going to classes with Coby, just showing off what the words "stack" and " better" meant to Herald.

Who knows....maybe someday we will test those words in the show ring and see if he still remembers. Herald is Registered with UKC and UKCI. Herald is PLL clear through parentage. Herald tested Clear for DM.

8-24-12 Herald made his debut in the show ring at Whitmore Lake, MI. He just turned 8 months old and I thought we better test his natural stacking skills. Well what a week end it was! Herald took a Group 1 his second day in the ring, and I walked him with pride and joy, with tears in my eyes as we joined the "big boys" in the Best in Show ring. To top the day off, he won his second show, took a Group two, and became a Champion.  WOW....Herald rocked it!!!  I just love this boy......he has a special place in my heart.

As of 9/2013 Herald was relocated to MS. My heart is broken to have him leave and there is not a day goes by I don't think of this boy and how beautiful and loving he was. Herald you are missed, more than you know. I love you handsome boy, and remember to always "stack" pretty!!  I hope someday the tears will stop..........

Thank you for stopping by today.

Brooks N Mays Christmas Holly
18. Brooks N Mays Christmas Holly
This is Holly. She is a littermate to Herald, and they looked very much alike as puppies running around.  I called them "the twins".  Holly also has a temperament very much like Herald's. I guess you could say they are two peas in a pod. Herald and Holly  came from the "Noel Litter",  born 12-21-11.

This is our first female pup we have kept out of the breedings with Reesie and Archie.  We are very pleased with her and will be looking forward to watching her grow up. Holly is just a sweat heart and is a very loving dog with a great temperament. She kisses my hand every time I put the food bowl down. That's her way of saying "thank you mom, I love you".

This beautiful pup is registered with UKC and also UKCI.  Holly is PLL clear, and DM clear through parentage.

So sad to say our girl was relocated to MS.  Our plans shattered, but we cannot predict the future, and life happens. Holly, I miss you so and those sweet tender kisses every time I fed you. My heart aches.............I love you precious girl.

This boy was my pick of the litter, 1st litter from Reesie/Archie. He was then sold at 8 weeks to a show home.  He was shown and titled. He is PLL and DM clear through parentage. He has spent time in a couple other states, he was used in a  breeding program several times as well. He has produced many really nice pups over the years.  He was returned to me a few years back, then sent to MS. Hopefully Louey is in a safe, stable home. Love this boy, and he has had a very unstable life.......My heart goes out to him.

21. Premier Dog Show 2011  (June 16,17,18,&19)
Here are the results of the 2011 UKC Premier Dog Show and the Teddy Roosevelt Terrier Speciality held in Kalamazoo, MI. I bought a new camera , and I am sorry to say my skills were way off. Many of the photo's were  blurred. Jan did take some really good ones with my camera. Lesa took much better pictures, and I will put those up soon. Brooks TRT's were very well represented this year at Premier with five great grand pups in the ring and five dogs from our Reesie/Archie breedings also in the ring. Enjoy the album, make sure you click on the "show all tab", and thanks for looking in today.

TRT Puppies Go To School
24. TRT Puppies Go To School  (2-10)
We have enrolled our Teddy Roosevelt Puppies in Puppy School. This litter will be attending a six week puppy socialization class at Chase's Corner Kennel. There will be other puppies to play with and socialize with. There are many things to do here in puppy school. Lots of stuff to jump over, and crawl through for confidence building. This class is so much fun for us and the puppies. Most of all it builds a better, well rounded puppy for our puppy buyers. We hope you enjoy this album with all the cute, fun things they have done so far. Thanks for stopping by today.

25. Will Work for Biscuits  (1-24-2010)
Unfortunately we had to let the maid go last week. Meanwhile we came up with the idea to put our Teddy Roosevelt Terrier pups to work around here. They are such a wonderful, versatile, breed, and they just love to please their owners. O.K. maybe we do embellish the breed a little, but after all, they are working on a loan to open a Doggie B & B. Please click on the "show all" tab and enlarge the photo's as you go, for the full effect. We would like you to know , no pups were injured, mistreated, harmed, damaged, or in any discomfort during the taking of these photo's. Enjoy the album, and thanks for stopping by.
