Bachelor's Pad by LilyGrace
WalterP and LittleRickie's cage features a safe wooden ramp and three acrylic windows in this colorful Bachelor's Pad. The colorful guinea pig sign, fleece pouch, hammock, and grids all make this a simple yet fun theme cage. Just right for the two resident bachelors: WalterP and LittleRickie. Information on making a "Cubes and Coroplast" cage may be found at: www.cavycages.com

WalterP and LittleRickie's cage features a wooden ramp 24" x 5-1/2" w/24" x 1/2" guard rails (attached with screws). Grip shelf liner covers the ramp and 2 cup hooks were attached to secure the ramp to the cage.

Here is the door closure: Velcro and a button secures the doors.  Acrylic "windows" are on either side of the center of the cage.

Closer view of one of the front windows.  The acrylic has been attached to the base with cable ties.

The hayrack is made using a dish-rack hung upside-down attached to the cubes with cable ties. We slid an 11" x 14" piece of acrylic between the corrugated plastic and cubes to prevent hay spillage.

We cut out a window under the hayrack. It's really nice because we can easily watch them eat hay, even from across the room. View of hay rack and window from outside the cage.

Here is the hammock I made out of a bathmat (bottom part) and a cloth shower curtain (top part); LittleRickie likes to lounge in it.

Here's the ramp and brick landing, or patio (they like to relax on the bricks). The wooden cross-support is visable on the upper right; LittleRickie.
