7 Original, Vintage 1941 Louis Marx Dagwood The Driver Tin Litho Windup Toy. This toy comes from a private collection, is complete including wood hat and in near mint condition. It works great and when wound, Dagwood's head revolves as he drives around chaotically. -
8 This colorful car was taken from the comic strip Blondie, created by Chic Young. Baby Dumpling & Blondie appear on the hood, Cookie & Mr. Dithers are on the side of the hood and Daisy the Dog & her puppies are on the trunk. Except for Mr. Dithers, all of the characters names are on the car. A learners permit is lithographed around the left side of the windshield frame to look as if it has been hung there, and "123" is lithographed on the front and back of the car. Dagwood's arms and his red bow tie are also lithographed. The Marx logo and "Made in United States of America" are used together for the first time on this car. The Dagwood car is probably the longest eccentric car Marx produced and it was styled from an oblong block (earlier cars have a more defined shape). Measures 8" long. This will make a fantastic addition to your collection!

40 It's the "Mountain Special Express, #3671" a vintage tin toy train from Japan that's practically new after more than 50 years, still in perfect working order, complete with its original full-color box.
41 This battery powered beauty was produced in the early '60's by Modern Toys of Japan, being the rarer, more desirable version of their many large scale, tin toy trains.
42 The Mountain Special measures 16" long x 5" tall x 3 1/4" wide, being a toy train engine with dazzling tin-litho graphics, and many exciting features.
43 Just pop in three D cell batteries, throw the switch, and she's off, flying across the floor at a rapid pace with a 'bump-n-go' mystery action. Other features include a bright flashing headlight, a loud "clang, clang" train bell, an ear-piercing train whistle, a red-hot flashing boiler, and an animated plastic engineer waving his flag.
44 Overall, the toy is excellent, looking as if it may never have been played with. All parts, bulbs, etc., are original, and the battery box is so clean, it looks brand new. We did, however, test the toy numerous times with fresh D batteries, and it functions smoothly and vigorously - each and every time.
45 It's colorful box is also quite clean - an 8+ out of 10 - with bright color, minimal edge/corner wear, and no ripped corners, top or bottom. Even the toy's original cardboard inserts are present.

65 This auction features a rare battery operated Line-Mar (Marx) concrete mixer in its original box. This toy is NOS - New Old Stock - and has never been played with. The only problem with this collectible toy is that it has no response when a battery is inserted ... I am told this is common with old battery operated toys ... so it needs someone who is smart in making these type toys work again. I am sure it would be an easy fix since this toy is New Old Stock.
The cement mixer is 8-1/2" long and 5" tall - all metal - black rubber tires - Line Mar Toys Japan stamped on the bottom of the mixer - battery compartment new & clean - box is great showing only some toning from age - operating instructions are on the inside lid - a couple of scratches on the red mixing drum but not bad - beautiful red and yellow color scheme - Line Mix Concrete Inc. ET. 357 sign is on each door - Line Mix advertising is on the front of the battery compartment.

142 This toy has beautiful litho with bright colors and great shine. Please review the pictures and the video. I tried to get all the angles for your viewing pleasure. The toy is in wonderful working condition as seen in the video. Wonderful example of this popular Popeye toy. Pants are bright, beautiful, and original. The toy works perfect and displays great. This is the only skating toy made by the LineMAR Division. Detailed information related to this toy is on page 52 of my Educational Reference Manual, which is also listed for sale.
When I by these I look at the right cheek of Popeye. This is the location where, for some reason, the litho/paint seems to be weak and many times rubbed completely off. Examine the pictures and be sure to ask any questions before the last day of the auction.

167 RELISTED BECAUSE OF NON PAYING BIDDER.**************Up for auction is a tin friction 1959 Buick convertible fire chief car made by Ichiko of Japan. The car measures 11 inches or 28 centimeters long and it is in complete condition. It has a bright, vivid red paint with a terrific surface gloss. There are a few small scratches and a few small touch ups. The chrome trim is beautiful, very bright and shiny. The friction motor works although it does skip. The tires and hubcaps and base of the car are all in excellent condition and the front sirens turn with the working of the motor. This is the correct, original tin head for this Buick. The car is pictured on page 54 of the great Big Book of Tin Toy Cars Commercial and Racing Vehicles. Thanks for looking!!!!

Toy is All Original, Beautiful Near Mint Condition. Very Clean and Crisp. Friction works well, Has a "Sparkling" feature that lights up, that is not currently working, Flint inside would have to be replaced (There is an access door on bottom for changing flint). Comes in original box. Box has some tears that have been professionally conserved from the inside. Also has a note that explains that the flint (That makes sparks) is only good for about 15 take offs, and then will need to be changed. VERY COOL OLD TOY! Please see photos. Another seldom seen Japanese tin car by ASC with the original box. This beautifully styled 1961 Impala Ambulance measures approximately 10" long (25.4 cm) by 3.75 ” tall (9.5 cm) and 3.75" wide (9.5 cm). The car is totally original and in very nice condition. The friction action revolves the roof light in circles. The pale ivory lithography is very nice as are the ambulance graphics. There is a single small spill spot right behind the dome light that might polish off. The lithographed interior adds nice color to the presentation. All of the tin trim including windshield trim and hubcaps are original and in very nice condition. The celluloid in the windows is original as well. The rubber wheels are nice and show no wear.
