Trip to Nor Cal (August 8-14, 2009)| We took a trip north to visit family. Drove up the California coast on Route 1 to Santa Cruz and then camped at Brannan Island State Park near Stockton. We took a day and visited Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. On the way home we drove through the Giant Sequoia National Park to see the huge trees. They were quite impressive. It was a long trip and we had fun, but we are glad to be home now. Another successful summer! |

Silent Sunday, Feb. 08 (February 24, 2008)| Seven of us met up this morning to bomb South Mountain in Phoenix. It's the ultimate downhill around here. About 4.5 miles of downhill road and once a month the park closes the road to all motorized vehicles. That means you gotta HIKE up! It's hard work but well worth it. |

Spring Break 2007 (March 25, 2007)| We took a camping trip to Mt. Lemmon, just outside of Tucson. Lots of rain the first couple of days but that brought snow and it was nice to see. We hiked and drove around the mountain. On the way back we took a backroad to Silverbell Mine and on to Red Rock. We ended up travelling on the west side of Picacho Peak and coming out on I-10 at the town of Picacho. What a fun trip! |
