TUCSON'S NEON DESERT
We (Steve & buddy Stu) departed May 25, 2008 on a six day trip to Tucson, Arizona. This album presents my 'NEON' vision of Tucson's Sonora desert and in particular Saguaro National Park.  The park harbors the giant Saguaro cactus, unique in the world.

In Saguaro Park West, we did the marvelous 6 mile dirt road   Bajada  Loop drive. We stopped on the loop to embark on an awesome, albeit short, Valley View hike. The trail passes through two washes and ascends to  a ridge with a view of Avra Valley and Picacho Peak to the north.

We also visited Saguaro Park East. Another day we escaped Tucson's heat by taking the scenic one hour drive 9,000 ft. up Mt. Lemmon. Then we took the ski lift for a refreshing ride to the summmit.

With one noted exception all photos are my 'NEON' versions of the original pictures.

You may run a slide show by clicking on the below left Slideshow  button. There are full pause, play etc. controls on the top of each photo page. Enlarged pictures are shown in default 'Large' size. You may further enlarge any photo, especially panoramic shots, by clicking on the word X-LARGE on the very bottom of the screen. You will need to again click on LARGE to return the the original LARGE size which works best for most photos. ENJOY.
