Vidja's Galleries
Hi, and thanks for surfing in! ^___^
My name is actually Silvia (Vidja's just my old nick) and I live in Italy - which means that you really should be merciful if my English sounds a bit funny!
I love to create stuff in my spare time, and though I'm by no means an artist, I deeply enjoy the process of making something that was not there before, and that reflects a small particle of beauty - well, admittedly there's an economical motivation too, since I sell my stuff on eBay (my ID on there is Silora, by the way... just in case!)
You'll find painted rocks and feathers here, and miniatures, and temari; maybe in the future I'll add some cross-stitch and patchwork galleries, too.
Oh, and I have a "pigs" folder, of course - I just love pigs (plush pigs, glass pigs, painted pigs, real pigs... whatever!)
The photos are mine, unless another photographer's quoted in the gallery's description or in the texts - some friends of mine were kind enough to take pics of my works before I got my digital camera.
Now before you go on and look at the pictures, allow me to ask you a favour - DROP ME A NOTE IN MY GUESTBOOK!

Paintings (August 24, 2003)You don't need to be a full-fledged artist in order to enjoy painting! Myself, I graduated in Modern Languages and never took an art lesson in my whole life, but I love to mess around with acrylics... it's relaxing, and rewarding, too, since every completed project is a huge satisfaction for me, however small the accomplishment!
I mainly paint on rocks and feathers, because they're cheaper than canvas, and not so intimidating... and besides, they have a natural texture and colour I can use to enrich my work.
I will probably try painting on other surfaces in the future, as my technique gets better... |

They're the cutest animals in the world; I collect both photos and gadgets provided they're pig-related.
