$2.95 + $2 shipping.  A long time favorite for a quick buff and shine! Big cloth is about 7x5 inches. Works fine even on plated and vermeilled surfaces. Rub gently, it will bring up a glorious shine. The ONLY thing I cannot recommend it for is lightly goldwashed or silverwashed pieces. NOTE: Sunshine gets black and dirty with use. When it's nasty-black, you need to THROW IT AWAY, as it can pick up microscopic pieces of metal and dirt that you'll just end up rubbing back INTO your jewelry.

Will be ordered from B'Sue's Boutique

$9.95 + $2 shipping.  Simichrome Polish

For years a most respected cleaner of all raw metals, Simichrome is also currently touted as a test for bakelite as well. Very slight abrasive; NEVER use Simi on plated, washed or vermeilled surfaces--UNLESS YOU WANT the finish to be removed! How does that bakelite test work? Put a bit of Simi on a swab, and then gently rub the piece in question. If the swab come back a dirty nicotine yellow (as opposed to its normal pig's-ear pink) then the piece is supposed to be bakelite. I don't know if I personally believe 100 percent in the test, but MANY who sell and buy bakelite, do. So it's not a bad thing to do, especially if you are putting pieces up for sale, some buyers will indeed ask you how the piece tests.

11.95 + $2 shipping.    Brass Calipers

You must have a way to measure stones. Without it, you cannot order stones correctly. I'll have no idea what you need, because you don't! If you can give any stone supplier your measurement in millimeters (accomplished with the gauge) then they can covert it to stone size or pearlplate to find your stone. A measurement in inches DOES NOT WORK. This is an inexpensive tool, but frankly the only one I use, it's just fine in most cases.
