On October 3 the Wewoka Cheerleaders participated at the OSSAA State Cheerleading competition against 11 other teams. They performed a flawless routine to the cheers of our spirit group and parents. Although the girls placed 5th (by 2 points!!!), they did it with style and grace. These girls held their heads high and kept their smile even on the ride home. I could not have been prouder of a group of girls. I wish to thank the girls, their coach, and their parents for allowing me to share in one of their proudest moments. They may not have placed 1st at the competition, but they will forever be 1st in my heart. CONGRATS GIRLS!!!
