2014-15 Plantation Bottoms'
Here it is, another year at Plantation Bottoms' & ThorneSide Cabin. The Good Lord has blessed us all again with good health, great friends, and the same old cranky & fussy 5 members and buddies! Most important though, she paid her respects to her predecessor, MollyAnn. she then took her place as the ThorneSide Guard. The exact place where MollyAnn use to be.

3.8.14 - I hung a gate on the south-west corner of our property so we can get on the far side of the Bottoms' without having to wait for the water to go down... this will be a big help, both in tractor work and hunting in ice.

7.30.14 - The Willow Hole Blind. We're going to fix it back up this year and hunt it. Its the warmest and easiest blind we ever had to hunt. Its claimed many ducks through the years. Its about 15 or 16yrs old. The wind flipped it over last year.

8.24.14 - We got a new toy today. We had to down-size because I just couldn't pick up our Honda 3000 any more. It weighed 150# & I just couldn't move it around. I traded a police chief for his Honda 2000I
and some cash to boot. We both left happy and he brought it to me!

9.27.14 - The old Willow Hole blind is finally getting some much needed attention. After it flipped in the wind 2 yrs ago in the spring and kinda messed up the frame a little, we haven't been able to hunt it.We got the floatation back under it last last year, but we weren't able to work on it in time for duck season. I promised myself that it would be back in action come this year. As its fairly new, built in 1998, its got a bunch more seasons left in it!
