Mabel is at the door waiting for that special person to come take her home. She was turned in to the locate shelter when her previous owner passed away.

She is a muscular little dog and can run like the wind.

Her markings are a deep brown and look black at night.

This is the chair she likes to spend her evenings in. She is getting use to her foster mom and does sit with her so she can be petted.

The yard is one of her favorite places to be (other than the park). She romps with the dog next door and loves to play chase.

She is a ham who likes to have her picture taken.

A nice big stretch before heading off to bed. It has been a long day. She lived the last 5 months in a crate and is happy to be free of it now. The only thing left to make her the happiest dog around is to have a family of her own.

Is Mabel still available? She would be 12 now? Do you know how she is with cats? How does she feel about car rides? Or walking on a leash? Has she gotten used to laps at all? She looks like a very sweet girl!

Mabel is a beautiful dog.  From what I read about her perosonality reminds me of my rat terrier.  Like her he prefer sleeping in the rocker/recliner.
Is she part whippet by chance.  She looks like it.  Or maybe it just the whippet that went into developing this wonderful breed.

Awww she is so cute. I've been trying to convince my parents to get another dog, but they aren't biting cuz we already have a 9 year old rat terrier, but I'm still working on it. She would be a great addition to our family.
