Babies (2010)Nests with eggs and chicks that I discovered. I don't know where my photography will take me, but I hope that someone will enjoy it. Taking a canoe to a wetland and taking pictures requires certain skills that I had to learn over the years. The light is seldom ideal and the wind will allways make your shot difficult.
A few years back I took a river canoe course at the University of Calgary Outdoor Ed. department. The skills learned are very important to understand my canoe and how to steer it in windy conditions. |

The birds of Burntstick Lake Alberta (2008)| Going out in our Canoe takes us into this small environment where nature still rules. Although there are a few fools with power boats, the lake is not yet overrun by holidayers. Many birds and even otters can be seen. |
