Skinners Falls
I told Bill weeks ago that this year for my birthday, I wanted to do a canoeing and camping trip like we did a few years ago. So we went to Skinners Falls, NY, a place where Bill had gone many times as a kid. We invited several friends for two days of canoeing and one night of camping on the Delaware River. Nothing like waking up on your birthday morning to fresh air and sunshine... and a freight train running through your tent!
Despite the rude awakening in the middle of the night, we had a lot of fun. I didn't take any pictures of the canoeing the second day because it was just Bill and I, and we decided to just enjoy the peace of being on the river. Also, there are no pictures of the tubing we did on the rapids at Skinners Falls. Next time I'll have to get a disposable waterproof camera.
I can't wait to do it again next year!
