In September we rented an SUV, loaded it with one of the cores from our January 2004 trip to Bangladesh, and I headed down to Virginia Institute of Marine Science to split and describe the core. I was there for a week, and worked the whole time. It was my first experience splitting and describing a core, and I had a blast. I actually went back a few weeks later for sampling, but I don't have any pictures of that. Anyway, thanks everyone for such a great experience!
