Your Hagström J-45 guitar was made in the first half of 1972. Hagström acoutsics were actually not made by Hagström, but by a subcontractor, Bjärton, another Swedish guitar maker.
The top is spruce, the neck, sides and bottom are mahogany, the fretboard is rosewood. It has an adjustable steel bridge and inside the neck is the famous Hagström H-profile aluminum trussrod.
Hagström acoustics were quite popular in the 70s and were played by people such as David Bowie, Cat Stevens and Genesis. |
