| 24 Wrought iron fence, soft blue sky give this small bath openess...Inspiration was taken from the view right outside the door...see next pic.
|
25 This is the view right outside the bath...we decided to use the wrought iron fence and view of the lake to make this bath somewhat nautical yet sophisticated.
| 26 The sky was done in a faux finish using several shades of blues and white glazes and rolled on then worked with a sponge..
| 27 I did the sky effect around the entire room but only did the wrought iron on this side of the room.
|
28 The water(lake) was done with a slipslap technique using various shades of blues, greens, whites mixed wiht glazes... gave it a Monet look..very soft..
| 29 Tropical scene painted on brick wall in bathroom off of the sunroom.
| 30 I painted the redbrick white before painting the mural..I left some of the original brick at the bottom for a wall.
|
31 Closeup of the scene...she wanted the bird...
| 32 Another view outside the door..
| 33 The faux columns in the corners are painted to pull the beige walls above the tub surround into the design.
|
 34 Tub surround before.
| 35 And her view now....
| 36 What a wonderful view to soak, and relax...
|
37 This bath is decorated in palms and monkeys. The palm just adds interest to her decor. This bath is located right off the front door area.
| 38 Palmetto tree painted in corner behind the door in her palmetto tree bathroom.
| 39 Its a nice suprise when you close the door in the bathroom and view the palmetto tree and seaoates. The fronds on the tree extend up onto the ceiling.
|
40 Faux marble on the colums and insets in the tub area. Also stippled several shades of gold on the ceiling area over tub.
| 41 Columns were fauxed to look like the drapery hardware she will use on the window over tub area.
| 42 Picture doesnt give correct colors of the columns. The faux marble has antique gold veining and gold accents.
|
43 Hard to get a good pic with all the sunlight coming through the window.
| 44 I stippled 3 different gold glazes on this ceilig. The photo doesnt really do it justice. I loved how it glimmers in the light.
