enlarge 88KB, 640x606 15 During Lent 2006, the people of St John’s and St Paul’s worked on making a banner and altar parament for a congregation in Texas. St John’s in Port Arthur, Texas lost all paraments during Hurricane Rita. Pr. Cottingham explained, “We wanted to do something for a congregation that would help their Easter have special meaning, remembering the new life we have in Jesus.” Pastor Blake's eMail said “Words can not describe the excitement at receiving the banner and the parament. We will use the Banner in a processional on Easter Sunday and introduce it to the congregation as Your Gift of Love. My theme for the rebirth of Saint John is Sharing our Faith.” Mrs Lorna VonSeggern, above, designed the banner and altar parament and directed the other workers.
