This 1954 longblock engine was put together for a customers Karmann Cabriolet Beetle.

Original 1954 36hp 1200cc with optional Fram Oil Filter.	Customer was thrilled to say the least!!	Guideplates removed for positive cleaning / lifter alignment.
Pushrod guidplates positioned and lock plate(s) installed.	Engine ready for assembly as viewed from front.	Ready to close her up! Main bearings / saddles have been "blessed!" :-)
Top 3/4 view with cylinder assemblies installed.	Measuring cylinder deck height for calculating proper compression ratio. VERY IMPORTANT!	Bottom view shows attention to detail even in areas that will not be visable!
Note the uniform "goldish / brown" color even on backside of block.	Close up view shows serial numbers and engine color.	Engine is completed!
