0- Cake lady- groom cake
Mom agreed to take care of the cake, and got this award-winning famous cake lady.  The groom cake is a design off of a batik throw I found, and shows our theme:  Dragons and phoenixes, in blue and silver.

73- The worst shower in the world
I've seen better showers in prison.  The water came out in 2 speeds- drooling trickle or aerosol mist.

The view from our window the next morning.  Note low, grey clouds. *ominous music*

75- Cold Eric
Klaatu Barada Nikto! It was in the 60's/70's on day one- but day 2 was another story.  We hit a cold front and it dropped to below freezing.

76- Cold Stacy
We weren't prepared, so we stopped at a motorcycle place, layered up, and dropped a couple hundred bucks on cold weather gear.

77- Cold tumbleweed
Friend Sonya said she had never seen a tumbleweed before.  This is for Sonya!

800- Rick's guest BR
After driving through cold, then rain, then sleet, then snow- we finally arrived in Albuquerque. We stayed at my dad's house.  This is place where we had sex #2.

Not Bad Hotel Art- Good Dad Art!  Despite Crappy Photography Skillz.

802- Rick's tub
Um, place where we had sex #3.

803- Rick's back yard 1
Behind the clouds is lovely Sandia peak.  The yard was sand and dog poo.

More sand and dog poo.

805- Big Kitty
They really named this tuxedo cat Big Kitty.  Though they call him BC, which I guess stands for Big Cat.  Yes, there is an LC but she was shy.

806- Eric and Big Kitty
BC was rather forward in his requests for attention.

807- Eric and the Solar System
I loves me some planetariums.  I visit them whenever I can, and this one had just opened!

808- Stacy and Pluto
Since my sunsign is ruled by Pluto, I always try to get a picture of me and Pluto at various planetaria.  Here's the one for this trip.

809-Stacy and dire wolves
Grrr!  Those skeletons were about Great Dane sized.

810- Going to Sandia
There is a lovely restaurant on top of Sandia peak, and I wanted to eat there!

811- Sandia ascent- flash
The easiest way to get to this place is by cable car.  This is a crappy shot taken on the way up.

812- Sandia- ascent
Here's a better shot.  You can see the reflection of the sunset in the lower left corner. And... snow!

813- Rick at Sandia
Snow, snow, snow!  Dad was being a good sport even though he was freezing.

814- Sandia dinner
This is inside the restaurant, called 'High Finance'.  If it's not cloudy (which it was) you can see the whole city from that window.

815- Leaving
We're getting ready to head home.  Dad is asking the bikes to please not kill us.  There was still about a foot of snow on the ground, but at least it was sunny.

9- Roswell Eric at the city limit
We took a different route home.  Hub wanted to stop in Roswell, and by the time we got there it was in the 80's.  Quite a change from where we left!

Note the UFO crashed into the sign.

9- Roswell parking
Alien parking!  Haw haw haw!  You get an idea of the theme for Roswell.

9- Calsbad view
After lunch in Roswell, we headed for Carlsbad Caverns.  Hub wanted to see a good cave.  He'd gone when he was a kid, but I had never been.  This is the view at the top- the caverns were located in a beautiful park full of blooming mountain laurels.

9- Carlsbad Eric and the rock marriage
In a century or two, these pointy rocks will merge.  Neat, huh?

9- Carlsbad gooshy rock
It looks eerily organic, doesn't it?

9- Carlsbad pile of ice cream rock
It had some fancy-ass name, but I thought it looked like a big pile of vanilla ice cream.

9- Carlsbad piles of popcorn
Continuing the food trend, these formations are really known as 'popcorn'.  When a clump of them forms at the end of a stalagtite, it's called a lion's tail.

This looked like the cover of an old 'Yes' album.

The title pretty much says it all... there's a shot of the bike he rode, a 500 Honda Silverwing.

It got cold before we got into another town, so I layered up again.

9- Alpine Lodge
This was where we stayed, in Pecos TX.  The windows are to the restaurant, where no one was under 70.  We decided not to eat there.

A tree!  And a line thing of some sort!  This was in the parking lot of the motel.

Hubby was especially impressed by the painted rocks on the building.

9- Swiss Clock Inn- side
The bikes, and our room.  Eric is shorter than I am, and weighs less, so he got the smaller bike.

9- Maroon bluebonnets
The drive from Pecos to Junction was all on IH 10, and was mind-liquifyingly boring.  We went from there to Fredricksburg, where I stopped at Wildseed Farms and saw these.  Then about an hour later, we were home.
