Nevada 2004
2. Nevada 2004  (July 8, 2004)
The Northwest Chapter of the Friends of Mineralogy held a field trip in Nevada and Utah from June 21 through June 26. The group visted the Silver Coin Mine, Humboldt Co., Nevada; the Willard Mine, Pershing Co., Nevada; the Chalk Mountain Mine, Churchill Co., Nevada; the Linka Mine, Lander Co., Nevada; and the Gold Hill Mine, Tooele Co., Utah. I left the group at the Linka Mine to head for Pollock Pines, California to attend the annual meeting of the Northern California Mineralogical Association.

Oregon Collecting Trip
4. Oregon Collecting Trip  (July 14, 2003)
We left on a collecting trip to Oregon on July 4, 2003. Our first stop was at Mckenzie Pass to look for osumilite. From there it was on to Diamond Lake to meet some friends and collect at Summit Rock and Lemolo Lake. We enjoyed great weather and great company for the trip.

Utah Field trip
5. Utah Field trip  (October 20, 2003)
Myself and three other members of the Northwest Chapter of Friends of Mineralogy took a week long trip to Utah. We visited the Gold Hill Mine, Gold Hill, Tooele Co. Utah and the Tintic District at Eureka, Juab Co., Utah.
