Knittin' for Knowledge Dog Sweaters
On September 16, 2003 my mother died after a brave 7 year struggle with breast cancer. She loved to knit and crochet and I loved dogs ........ so to to occupy our time and all those long hours sitting in chemo chairs, waiting rooms, and in the hospital we started our little project of knitting dog sweaters and selling them on ebay. We donated 10% of the sell price to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. After Mom died, I decided I would continue her legacy of keeping canine friends warm and helping the cause for the cure. I have "met" many wonderful people who offered prayers and encouragement during our trying times and after Mom's death and hope to continue her beloved dog sweater project for a long, long time.
