Kitchen Renovation January 2007
At last! Our kitchen is being renovated! Goodbye ugly dropped ceiling panels! Painted drywall will replace the old wallpaper and panelling. The big fridge is being moved to the back room to make way for a larger eating area, and new lighting fixtures will replace the old.

In order for the fridge to fit through the doorway to it's new location the doors had to be removed...same as when it was brought into the house new about 9 years ago.

Panelling is down, and soon the built in spice rack will be drywalled over. I'm aiming for a more uncluttered look.

Receptacle near floor has been replaced by a new table height one on it's own line. Wainscotting in pic is the original, and as much as I'd like to refinish it, it just isn't practical and also the paint may contain lead.We will cover it over with wall board simulating wainscotting.

Yellow paint is on. There was a little problem with the shade being too dark, so the painters returned the paint and had it mixed correctly.

February 2009.
Two years after the last renovation we have decided it's now time for new flooring.
The B&W diagram on the floor is part of the Mannington Software program which allows us to see different floor samples in our kitchen to help decide which design to choose.

Our faithful old stove which served us well for 25 years is being replaced by a new one with a much larger oven. Scorch marks on the wall are from the oven exhaust.

This stove served us many good years (1984-2009) and I liked the space between the burners for sitting hot pots or something out of the oven.
