Sola/Dan Litter--6 Weeks Old 6 WEEKS OLD!!
These three monkeys are so fun!! They've made much progress since the 4 week update. They've learned to lap water and crunch kibble on their own. Sola still chooses to let them nurse several times a day. She's a very good mother and is very protective of her babies. In this 2 week period, they've been introduced to several different sounds, surfaces, and people. They've been wormed for the third time, had another toenail trim, but still no bath. It hasn't been necessary as Mommy Sola still licks their fur off! They've been given their first puppy vaccination as of 11/06/2009. Not long now before they will be joining their new families. We're SURE that this trio will add life to their new homes!
We hope you enjoy the photo update. They were all wanting to play and so getting these pictures was not an easy task.
The litter was checked by our vet on 10/30/2009.
They are expected to finish in the 13-14 lb. range and be 13-14 inches tall when grown. The litter is dual registered with AKC-FSS and UKC. They are sired by Dan, UKC Champion and their dam, Sola is a UKC Grand Champion. Complete details on both parents below.
All three puppies have already been adopted, so we have no availabilities from this litter. For inquiring about the availability of a pick from another litter of ours, please

Sola/Dan Litter--4 Weeks, 2 Days 4 Weeks, 2 Days Old!
Can't believe these little beauties are already 4 weeks! WOW! Sola has almost licked their fur off keeping them spotlessly clean. They've yet to need a bath. We did give them a good toenail trim today though! They've had their second worm treatment as well. As with most smaller litters, their development has not progressed to the point of running around yet, only toddling around. Seems like the extra time at the "milk bar" is more appealing to them at this point than running around to explore their new world. Sola, being bred for the first time at 4-1/2 years old....is somewhat of an overprotective girlie and prefers to keep her brood right under her wing. We are going to make efforts this coming week to make sure that the puppies have some time away from her to spark their interest in others things.
We hope you enjoy the photo update, as we feel all three of them are just too cute for words.

Sola/Dan Litter--3 Weeks Old 3 Weeks Old!
These pictures were taken while Mommy Sola was feeding them. They are taking full advantage of the extra "milk bar" time that such a small litter allows. They are growing like weeds!
Individual pictures will be taken at 4 weeks old!

Sola/Dan Litter--2 Weeks, 1 day 2 Weeks and 1 Day Old!
These three baby beauties are growing and being cared for tremendously by Mommy Sola. There has yet to be a need for a bath from their human mom!
At two weeks, 1 day old, all three of them have their eyes open. Isadora led the way, as she opened hers on day 13. The boys decided to wait until day 15.
We are still in the midst of doing stimulation exercises daily with them. They've had their first toenail trim, first worm treatment and of course, their second photo shoot.
In the week ahead, we expect them to start scooting around and inspecting their surroundings. As there are only three in this litter, there is double the time for lots of socializing, loving, holding and human interaction. They should be well prepared for their humans when they get them.
They are expected to finish in the 13-14 lb. range and be 13-14 inches tall when grown. The litter is dual registered with AKC-FSS and UKC. They are sired by Dan, UKC Champion and their dam, Sola is a UKC Grand Champion. Complete details on both parents below.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
09/25/2009
Sola gave birth this morning between the hours of 4:30am and 8:30am. Since this is Sola's first litter and she is very spoiled :), she has been a little confused as to why she has babies, but all-in-all, she's being a very protective and good mother.
Listed in birth order: Isadora-Female-White/Black/Tan-4-5/8 oz. Ivan-Male-Blue/White/Tan-5-1/2 oz. Ingrid-Female-Chocolate/White/Tan-3-1/8 oz. Irvin-Male-White/Black/Tan-4-3/4 oz.
Little Ingrid is the one we're concerned about at this time. Please say a prayer that she will gain weight and strength over the next 2-3 days.
Invividual pictures will be posted as soon as mom and babies have had some rest. |
