5 VINTAGE WESTMORELAND 1908 ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA PITTSBURGH FRATERNAL SHRINERS CONVENTION SOUVENIR. The front of the cup it says "Syria" then "Pittsburgh, Pa." and on the back it says St. Paul, Minn. 1908". The bowl of the glass is ruby flashed or stained & the figure under the "Syria" sword is white enameled. There is gold gilt on various areas of the glass & the base is black enamel. I read that this is the only ruby flashed Syria Shriners piece. It is 5-1/4" tall & 2-5/8" across the top.
| 6 This little goblet has had a hard life. It has some chips on the clear glass handles, a chip & crack together in the stained ruby bowl. Under the bowl the gilded & enameled area is in good condition. The ruby stain has faded a little on the bowl but still clearly red. However, not as bright as the pictures show it. This is a very interesting piece & very collectible.

7 This is a book piece found in the Westmoreland Glass book by Chas. West Wilson. They note the spelling of Pittsburgh on this glass includes the "h" on Pittsburgh during a time when the spelling officially deleted the "h" which was then restored in 1911.
| 8 The book also says that "The 1908 St. Paul has been positively identified as being one of the Shriners glasses in George West's collection. FOR SALE $45.00.
