These are pieces by Judith Hendler that I have collected. I am still collecting her pieces, and will add to this album as I add to the collection. Love the plastics!!
Date(s): June 17, 2010. Album by Judy Miller. 1 - 34 of 34 Total. 1050 Visits.
This is a two piece necklace. The bottom part hooks to the sterling piece on the center of the necklace.
As a rule, Judith Hendler pieces are not signed. They come with hang tags, and sometimes with soft pouches. The previously owned jewelry doesn't always have a tag, so I hope this album will help you to identify the jewelry.
Judith will sign her jewelry for you at a trunk show. She will be on the premises, and is happy to sign for you. The only two pieces in this album that are signed are the Mink Ice, and the black and white. They are both signed on the neck ring.

Earrings are probably the hardest to identify as real Judith Hendler. They are not signed, and the designs are not hugely different from other earrings.

This by pass has sterling end caps. NOT Hendler.
These pieces are called the Champagne pieces because of the bubbles. "Goodness! This is stunning!" View Comments...

This color is mink ice. Judith has said that this set was the only one of this style in this unique color that was made. The color was too hard to keep constant. The set design was made in different colors, just not the Mink Ice. Taken from the Lush Life web site, which is where I bought this set. Thank you Erik!

Just did get these. I think these pinks will go with any of the Hendler pinks that I have. I'm not one that has to have the exact match....these will also be great all by themselves.

These earrings and the earrings in the next photo are pretty distinctive to Judith Hendler's designs.
This simple neck ring is wrapped with another tube of plastic. Sort of like the old telephone cords that attached to your wall phone and were constantly tangled.
Not Hendler. Tubes are smaller, and there are more of them.
Here you can see the difference in the tube sizes. The Champagne bubble bracelet to the right is a Hendler.
Yes, Hendler on the top....not Hendler on the bottom.
The following are photos of the simple clasp that is used in the Judith Hendler design.
This is the closed side of the purple neckring.
This is the open side of the neckring. Just a very simple hook that works well. The Hendler pieces are quite fragile in this area. The hooks and other metal inserts can come loose if you are not careful with them.
Not Hendler. The tubes are the narrow ones, and they are bent in more intricate bends than the Judith Hendler bracelets. Here is what Judith said when asked if this one was hers. "There was someone working several years after I started that tried to copy the line and this is probably one of those pieces. They had very poor success and stopped after a very short while."
Amazing collection ! I believe you may have bought the #6 lavender necklace from me at the SF Deco to Modernism Show a few years ago. I found my second piece ever, today !! Its a pink triangular tube bangle. I was reading an article about Hendler in the current Modernism magazine while at work today in the antique collective I sell at. I walked by another dealer's case and there it was ! How's that for a quinky dink. lol. I'm hooked now,so my search begins in earnest... - Ken West, Fri, 7 Jan 2011 10:50PM
