1 This ring is part of a set. The brooch/necklace in the next photos are the other part of the set.
You are looking at the controversial Mexican Fire Opal stone here, set in sterling. What this is, is layers (probably three) of resin over color and opalescent material. This is where the opal in the description comes from.
2 The ring is sterling, and old. It is a size 5 3/4. There is a small chip in the side of the ring near the bezel. Shown in the previous photo. Very hard to see.
3 When you look at the stone from the open back, it appears to be an amber color, but when you view the stone from the top, you can see the flashes of blue in it. The blue looks opalescent.
4 The brooch is set in sterling and the chain is one that I added. The chain is 27 inches long and the brooch hangs vertically on it.

21 In fantastic condition, this brooch is 2 1/4" tall. All the stones sparkle on this beauty, and the brooch has a hook on the back, so it can be worn as a pendant.

25 Here we have a match safe. Made in 1880 to 1910. This is one side of the safe. The design on this piece is a wonderful, intricate, flowery art nouveau style.
26 This is the other side. The match safe was used to keep matches dry, and away from harm. Or.........safe.
27 The spring hinge is tight, and there is a strike plate on the inside near the hinge.
28 There is some wear on the largest flat surface on both sides. The safe is 2 3/4" X 1 1/2".
29 The mark here is G. silver, or German silver. It is silver over brass.

31 This brooch set is unmarked, but it is very well made and worthy of a designer mark. The ropes are a gold tone with large pale amethyst colored stones beneath.
32 The large stones are encrusted with rhinestones on the tips, and there is a rhinestone nest in the center of the brooch.
It is 2 1/4" across, and 5/8" deep. The clip earrings are just over an inch long.

36 This dress clip is so beautiful. It is large, and the beads are a moonstone type. The base is a silver tone metal.

39 Jill has a c clasp, and Jack has a newer safety clasp. That one has been added. I think the chain may not be original to the piece.

40 This is a diamond ring set. The large round stone is symmetrically cut and reflects light evenly across the surface. I measured the large stone with my digital caliper and it is 3.45mm across.
The ring set is a size 6 1/2.
41 I took the ring set to a jeweler for information and he looked at the stones declaring them to be fine diamonds. There are eight tiny diamonds in the set.
42 The set is a lovers bow set with the engagement ring being the largest, and the wedding ring ties the knot with the little hook. A lovers knot complete at the wedding.
43 The hook is in good shape, and does the job of hooking the two rings together. My jeweler looked carefully at this hook to make sure it does work.
The setting is 14K white gold.

44 I took this ring to a jeweler to make sure I had it right. The ring is 14K gold, and the stones are topaz.
45 The size is a 7, and the stones are a bit worn, but only noticeable with a loupe.
The gold is a rosy gold, in between the color here and in the first photo.

It is a really nice ring, completely comfortable to wear.

47 These four boxes are really cool! They are old cigarette boxes. They are empty, but have lots of charm, and lots of patina. One Old Gold, one Lucky Strike, and two Chesterfield. Are they even making these cigarettes any more?
48 Here is some of the patina. Ha! The white spot is not what you think it is...I think it is paint. Put this one on the bottom of the stack.
49 Our house isn't rustic, but we have these in a stack in the living room as a decoration. Well, not these, but some like these.

52 Alice Caviness is the name on this glass bead set. Givre dark blue beads have a light blue center, and there are clear montana blues also. Intersperced with silver, and a smoky opalescence bead.

54 The necklace shortest link is 14 1/2" and add to that an extender chain of 4 1/4". It is 18 3/4" total length. The earrings are clips and they are 1 1/4" long.

55 This set is the famous Easter Egg set, by Delizza and Elster (D&E)....but...it is signed VENDOME.
Frank DeLiza is the D of D&E, and he has confirmed that his company did make jewelry for Vendome, and this is one set that they made.
62 There are prong set rhinestones running up the stem among the silver leaves. There are some leaves that have some of the silver worn, and gold color is shining through a tiny bit. Not really noticeble, but should be mentioned.
63 The finding are the white silver color and I think that they probably show off the clear crystal better than a gold setting would.
64 In great shape, and a large piece at a whoping 4 1/4" long! It is 3 1/4" across.
65 Everything is intact, no sign of vertigris, the pin mechanism works, and this is just a wonderful brooch.

69 Here you can see the small and the larger saucers. One bracelet is all small, the other, all large.
70 The bracelets tested positive with 409. This is the small saucer bracelet.
71 This is the large saucer bracelet. There was one saucer missing here, so I added a Bakelite button which is the same color as the rest of the bracelet.

Both are creamed corn color, one with scored lines on it. At one time, the lines held metal strips, and two of them remain.

84 This is a cameo brooch that is outstanding. The lady sits on a piece that is shiny, and silver, but also looks black.
85 The brooch is 2 1/2" tall, and has a jump ring attached at the top, so you could use it as a pendant.
87 It is about 5" tall assembled. Looks like a littl wine glass. Too big for an eye wash thing. Too small for a mustache wash thing.
88 It comes apart, and fits into the green pouch. The bottom screws to the top.
No marks on it at all.
89 The oval top is 2 1/2" by 1 2/3". Has a sort of golden finish on the inside. The piece is stainless steel, or chrome, and I think chrome.
Not a funnel, because although you see a hole here, it screws to the bottom part....filling up the hole.
90 Identified: It is a portable wine glass. You pour from a flask which is missing here, and you drink from the narrow end, with your nose in the opposite narrow end, allowing you to inhale the aroma as you drink. #18

91 These fabulous earrings are by Hollycraft. I haven't seen this particular design by Hollycraft before and I was happy to buy them.
92 The earrings are in excellent condition, and have an interesting shape to them. They are large screwback earrings at 2 1/8" long.
93 The stones are amethysts and seed pearls, and they are on several different levels on the earring face. They are marked Copr 1953 and Hollycraft on each earring.

102 This is a HOLLYCRAFT parure made in 1952. I know that because it is so marked all over the set. It is in excellent condition even though it is 56 years old! All stones are present and sparkly.
103 A close up of the set. Stone colors are light amethyst and amethyst. As you look at the set, it appears to shade to the amethyst/pink side. A really nice combination of colors.
104 Just trying to show the dimensionality of this brooch. It is huge at 2 1/2" across, and it is just under an inch tall.

219 This is a fantastic Lucite cuff that I had a heck of a time to photograph. It is the cuff on page 100 of the book Plastic Bangles.
220 The rhinestones all sparkle and are clear. The gold specks in the photo are reflections from the cold foil on the back of the stones.
The cuff is chunky, with 1/4" walls. The opening is 1 1/2", and the oval shape is 5 1/2". I have a 7" wrist and this bracelet fits me...I can push it up my arm a bit also.

221 I had a heck of time to photo this wonderful lime green color on this necklace and earring set. Probably done in the 1980's.

223 Here is another fun ring. The metal is a gold color, and the top is sprinkled with bits of quartz.
224 This is one of those rings with a secret compartment. The top flips on a spring to hide your secret.
225 To take the photo, I had to prop it open with a toothpick. The ring has a device inside the shank to keep the ring from being top heavy.
226 Here is a closeup of the quartz bits. The ring is 5/8" tall on your finger, and it is a size 6 1/2.

232 The bracelet is Asymetrical. One side is canted from the other side. It is only carved that way so it appears to slant. You can see in the previous photo that one side is higher than the other.

234 The width at the widest point is 1 1/2". It is 3 1/2" across the longest part....across your wrist.
The opening is 1 1/4". This cuff is not for a large wrist. I can put it on and take it off....but it all depends on the bones in your wrist.

248 This gorgeous bracelet is to die for. It is just perfect.....a statement golden bracelet. The designer is NAPIER and it is so marked on the clasp.
249 The leaves are large and they are double sided. You can see that the two complete sides are together, one on top of the other...the two sides are identical, but they aren't fused together, they are placed one on top of the other, and the leaf sides often show through to the other side.
250 The bracelet is in mint condition and it is wearable at 7 3/4" It has a spring ring clasp.
The leaves are large with the largest one at 1 3/4" long. They don't clank....they have a nice silvery sound. Not sure what that means, but they won't drive you nuts to hear them...the have a pleasant
