This ring is part of a set. The brooch/necklace in the next photos are the other part of the set.
You are looking at the controversial Mexican Fire Opal stone here, set in sterling. What this is, is layers (probably three) of resin over color and opalescent material. This is where the opal in the description comes from.
The ring is sterling, and old. It is a size 5 3/4. There is a small chip in the side of the ring near the bezel. Shown in the previous photo. Very hard to see.
When you look at the stone from the open back, it appears to be an amber color, but when you view the stone from the top, you can see the flashes of blue in it. The blue looks opalescent.
The brooch is set in sterling and the chain is one that I added. The chain is 27 inches long and the brooch hangs vertically on it.

These fantastic clip earrings are by Richard Kerr. They are slightly off red to the orange side, and hang just over 5" long.
This is a gorgeous dress clip, and it is signed Clemenis New York. I have no idea who this is...research in progress. "reads to me like Clements, with a 't'." View Comments...
Very lacy design on the back.
The signature is here. If you know anything about this designer, I would love to hear it.
This piece has all kinds of things going on here. There is a shoe, a purse, a glove, a heart, a pair of sunglasses and other stuff that I can't identify.
Marked Christian La Croix, and Made in France on the back, this brooch is in excellent conditon. A small brooch at just under 2" tall.

This is a Lucinda People pin. It is a puzzle piece and in great shape. I wonder if she did a whole puzzle?
These safes are listed in Jeanne Bell's Old Jewelry from 95.00 to 195.00. #16
This brooch set is unmarked, but it is very well made and worthy of a designer mark. The ropes are a gold tone with large pale amethyst colored stones beneath.
The large stones are encrusted with rhinestones on the tips, and there is a rhinestone nest in the center of the brooch.
It is 2 1/4" across, and 5/8" deep. The clip earrings are just over an inch long.

This guy is pretty cute. It is an old enamel pot metal brooch. It is small, and the windmill thingies do turn.
It is only 1 3/4" tall.
This is an outstanding brooch, with clear, sparkly stones. Very dimensional with about three levels of stones.
The brooch is 2 1/2" by 2 1/4".
This dress clip is so beautiful. It is large, and the beads are a moonstone type. The base is a silver tone metal.
The clip is strong and it is about 3 1/2" long. A heavy piece.
Jack and Jill here, doing their thing. Pot metal with some enamel loss, but still lively.
Jill has a c clasp, and Jack has a newer safety clasp. That one has been added. I think the chain may not be original to the piece.
Jack is about 1 1/2" tall.
This is a diamond ring set. The large round stone is symmetrically cut and reflects light evenly across the surface. I measured the large stone with my digital caliper and it is 3.45mm across.
The ring set is a size 6 1/2.
I took the ring set to a jeweler for information and he looked at the stones declaring them to be fine diamonds. There are eight tiny diamonds in the set.
The set is a lovers bow set with the engagement ring being the largest, and the wedding ring ties the knot with the little hook. A lovers knot complete at the wedding.
The hook is in good shape, and does the job of hooking the two rings together. My jeweler looked carefully at this hook to make sure it does work.
The setting is 14K white gold.
I took this ring to a jeweler to make sure I had it right. The ring is 14K gold, and the stones are topaz.
The size is a 7, and the stones are a bit worn, but only noticeable with a loupe.
The gold is a rosy gold, in between the color here and in the first photo.
The mark says 14K.
It is a really nice ring, completely comfortable to wear.
These four boxes are really cool! They are old cigarette boxes. They are empty, but have lots of charm, and lots of patina. One Old Gold, one Lucky Strike, and two Chesterfield. Are they even making these cigarettes any more?
Here is some of the patina. Ha! The white spot is not what you think it is...I think it is paint. Put this one on the bottom of the stack.
Our house isn't rustic, but we have these in a stack in the living room as a decoration. Well, not these, but some like these.
There are prong set rhinestones running up the stem among the silver leaves. There are some leaves that have some of the silver worn, and gold color is shining through a tiny bit. Not really noticeble, but should be mentioned.
The finding are the white silver color and I think that they probably show off the clear crystal better than a gold setting would.
In great shape, and a large piece at a whoping 4 1/4" long! It is 3 1/4" across.
Everything is intact, no sign of vertigris, the pin mechanism works, and this is just a wonderful brooch.
The size is a 7, and the stones are a bit worn, but only noticeable with a loupe.
The gold is a rosy gold, in btween the color here and in the first photo.
The mark says 14K. I was told that there is at least 80.00 of gold here.
It is a really nice ring, completely comfortable to wear.#16
These are great Bakelite bracelets. There are two bracelets here and the dangling saucers are two sizes.
Here you can see the small and the larger saucers. One bracelet is all small, the other, all large.
The bracelets tested positive with 409. This is the small saucer bracelet.
It is about 5" tall assembled. Looks like a littl wine glass. Too big for an eye wash thing. Too small for a mustache wash thing.
It comes apart, and fits into the green pouch. The bottom screws to the top.
No marks on it at all.
The oval top is 2 1/2" by 1 2/3". Has a sort of golden finish on the inside. The piece is stainless steel, or chrome, and I think chrome.
Not a funnel, because although you see a hole here, it screws to the bottom part....filling up the hole.
Identified: It is a portable wine glass. You pour from a flask which is missing here, and you drink from the narrow end, with your nose in the opposite narrow end, allowing you to inhale the aroma as you drink. #18
These fabulous earrings are by Hollycraft. I haven't seen this particular design by Hollycraft before and I was happy to buy them.
The earrings are in excellent condition, and have an interesting shape to them. They are large screwback earrings at 2 1/8" long.
The stones are amethysts and seed pearls, and they are on several different levels on the earring face. They are marked Copr 1953 and Hollycraft on each earring.
Wear these cool sunglasses with your cigarette holder and be smashing! The glasses are in mint condition.
The glasses frames are a dark red with little lines in the red. They are covered with sparkly rhinestones.
They are made by Albert Nipon. They are not perscription glasses.
Signed on one side of the clasp, Stephen Dweck. The shortest strand is 17" long. In excellent condition.
This Lucite necklace is a kick. The colors are a wonderful amber to orange bead with a clear bead with red and black findings. Red, black and clear spacers complete.
The bracelet is a memory wire bracelet and the necklace has a wearable length of 17". Marked Vendome on the back of the necklace hook.
I call these tulip earrings. I think that carved glass looks sort of like a tulip.
The color in the tulip flashes red and yellow, and there are red ab rhinestones in the middle.
I think I should ask if these are Juliana, they look it to me.
They are clips and are 1 1/4" long.
These are the Juliana Easter Egg design earrings. In excellent shape, they are 1 1/4" long, and they are clips.
The enamel earrings on the right are by fashion designer Guy Laroche. They are very well made, and have some fantastic colors going on. In mint condition, the earrings are clips. They are 1 1/4" across and are domed to 1/2".
This tree is by GERARD YOSCA and is pictured in Kathy Flood's book, Warman's Costume Jewelry Figurals on page 76.
In excellent shape, the brooch is 1 7/8" tall.
This is another House by Lucinda brooch. Somehow, I just can't resist buying these little guys.
The brooch is about 2" by 1 1/2". In excellent shape.
OK, here are a couple of sticks! Well....these are wood, and they are for your hair.
The top is a pearl cab, and it is ringed with rhinestones and faux seed pearls. All present, and all sparkly.
The hair sticks are 6 5/8" long.

This beautiful 11 strand necklace is an ORIGINAL BY ROBERT. It is a vintage piece, and in excellent shape.
I don't have the Robert earrings to go with this necklace, but a pearl, rhinestone, or gold color earring will look smashing with this one.
I'm in love with this clasp....should be worn at the side, it is so pretty.
The necklace has a comfortable wearable length of 16". The necklace has a push in clasp that is tight.
Signed on the back Original by Robert.
This is a gorgeous clamper bracelet and clip earring set. The stones in the bracelet are an inch long!
These earrings are 1 1/2" long and the colors are a deep citrine and rich topaz.
Although this set resembles a Juliana or D&E set, I think it is not, because the metal on the bracelet is round not square. Juliana experts please let me know if I'm wrong. The bracelet hinge is tight, and fits a normal wrist.
These unusual sunburst earrings are marked SELINI. The center is Lucite with a confettie effect.
The earrings are clips, and are 1 1/4" across.
This is a great bright red bracelet. All the stones are glass.
The metal is a gold color, and the bracelet is in excellent condition. The bracelet is 7 1/2" long with a fold over clasp.
Here is a fabulous retro bracelet.
This one is substantial, and is 7" long with a push in clasp. The colors are green, blue and carnelian red. The cabs are plastic.
This is the back of the bracelet. It measures 1 3/4" wide. In excellent condition.
The back. This is a large sweater. Measurements are neck to hem, 29", chest 21" and sleeve length, 27", sleeve width, 6 1/2". The roll around the neck is 1 1/2". The sweater comes way down past the hip.
The width at the widest point is 1 1/2". It is 3 1/2" across the longest part....across your wrist.
The opening is 1 1/4". This cuff is not for a large wrist. I can put it on and take it off....but it all depends on the bones in your wrist.
The mark is hard to read, but it is Von Musulin.
This bracelet by PATRICIA VON MUSULIN is similar in design to the ring in the previous photos.
This one is in excellent condition also. It has no chips, scratches or dings.
The cuff is a bit smaller than the first one....at least it is not as wide. The top is carved in slashes as is the ring.
This bracelet is 7/8" at the widest point on the top. The opening is 1 1/8". Once again this bracelet depends on where the bones in your arm are, and I have no clue how to tell you. You will know how cuffs fit you.
Here is another piece by PATRICIA VON MUSULIN. This time it is a ring.
The ring is Lucite, and it is carved into slashes on the top.
The ring is in excellent shape, no chips, scratches or dings at all.
The ring measures 8 1/4 on my ring sizer. The band is about 3/8" at the most narrow part. The width of the ring across the top is 7/8". It is 1 1/8" long.
The ring is very dimensional and quite large. It goes well with the bracelet in the next photos. The bracelet has the same carved slashes.
Here is the mark on the ring.
This gorgeous bracelet is to die for. It is just perfect.....a statement golden bracelet. The designer is NAPIER and it is so marked on the clasp.
The leaves are large and they are double sided. You can see that the two complete sides are together, one on top of the other...the two sides are identical, but they aren't fused together, they are placed one on top of the other, and the leaf sides often show through to the other side.
The bracelet is in mint condition and it is wearable at 7 3/4" It has a spring ring clasp.
The leaves are large with the largest one at 1 3/4" long. They don't clank....they have a nice silvery sound. Not sure what that means, but they won't drive you nuts to hear them...the have a pleasant
I wouldn't be surprised to hear that these leaves were cast from real leaves. They do look real.
Here is a cute little HAR bug. He has red rhinestone eyes and his little butt moves a bit.
This little guy is pretty fancy...he sparkles all over his little back.
In great condition, there are no issues.
This bug is 1 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" long.

This is a gorgeous brooch by contemporary designer KATE HINES.
This piece has an excellent design and detail on the brushed gold color brooch.
