Hi Folks, this website is for our family, our hobbies and our rat terriers. I've been oil painting for 22 years, and will be putting up more paintings as I get them completed. Russ has always been into racing, with top fuel dragsters being his favorite, and he is also a Nascar fan.
The most rewarding thing in our lives at this time is our children and our grand children. We thank the Lord every day that all are healthy and close by. We'll be adding alot more family pictures to the albums within the next few weeks, as we just celebrated Wanda's (Mom) 80th birthday, and had a celebration at her house. Terri's husband Gary was the photographer, and there was some great photos to share.
We like to mix a little of our Irish/Scottish heritage into most of the things we do, and we have a wee bit 'O fun doing it :)
"Cead Mile Fáilte" ~ One hundred thousand welcomes!
Our rat terriers are a large part of our lives also, and here is a short version of the history of the Rat Terrier, taken from the UKC Rat Terrier Standard:
"The Rat Terrier is an American breed descended from the terriers brought over by English miners and other working class immigrants. These terriers probably included crosses between the Smooth Fox Terrier, the Manchester Terrier and the now extinct white English Terrier. These dogs were used as ratters, and gambling on their prowess in killing rats was a favorite hobby of their owners. Some of these dogs were crossed with Whippets or Italian Greyhounds (for speed) and Beagles (for hunting ability). Eventually, these tough little terriers evolved into today's Rat Terrier"
We've found that this is a breed that has fit wonderfully into our family, and we can't imagine life without them. If you have any questions about our rat terriers, just send us an email at IrishGlyn@Gmail.com, or give us a call at 503-357-3583.

We are a member of the American Rat Terrier Association

Our rat terriers are registered with the United Kennel Club

St Helen's Show (September 19, 2009)*************************************
Some photos of the St. Helen's Oregon UKC show on September 19 and 20, 2009. Thanks to my husband Russ for keeping track of all of us girls and taking our pics :)
There wasn't many rat terriers there, but we had fun talking dogs with each other, and visiting with different breed owners. We all had a great time :)
Thanks to the American Eskimo Dog Association of Oregon for putting on a great show, and to the honorable UKC Judges Eleanor Main, Marilyn O'Neill, Patrica Young, and Dennis Morgan.
