This album was created for guests wishing to see what has been reviewed by the Discovering D&E Juliana Jewelry group and/or Mr. Frank DeLizza.
Please Note: If you purchased jewelry listed as Juliana or DeLizza & Elster (D&E) from an online store, site, or auction, we do not provide guarantees, appraisals, nor resolve disputes between you and the seller.
Our group conducts weekly verification reviews to determine the probability of a piece or set of unsigned jewelry for DeLizza & Elster manufacturing traits or well known styles. This is our opinion based on the information made available to us including but not limited to: verified photos with backup documentation from design/sketch books and company photographs we had the opportunity to review, correspondence, training, and Q&A sessions with Mr. DeLizza.
Examples of the jewelry seen in our archived files have been seen and verified in person by Mr. Frank DeLizza. We hosted the first ever D&E Juliana Jewelry Conference (March 2008) where thousands of pieces of jewelry made by D&E were on display for everyone to examine, ask questions and get "verified".
We provide our members with either a group consensus and/or a response from Mr. Frank DeLizza. It is up to each individual member to accept/agree with the decision.
In addition to input from others, our members have access to countless resources within our group files to help them learn and gain proficiency in identifying D&E jewelry.
Mr. DeLizza is the former (last) owner of the DeLizza & Elster company; son of William, (one of the original owners). He plays an active role in the vintage costume jewelry community and is a recent recipient of the CF&CJ Award, from the Italian Foreign Ministry, Department Italiani Nel Mondo:
"his professional activity expresses the elegance and
style of the refined taste and perfect mastery of the Italian craftsmen gold, of the thousand of unknown little Michelangeli Italy has give birth to, many of whom emigrated to America".
Use this information as a guide for determining what may look like D&E (aka Juliana) but is not. (folder #7)
