I have collected these articles over the years to help new families with any issues or questions they might have. I have gathered info from several issues of magazines & made them available to help prepare you for your new arrival. I will have a few more to give with puppy packets. If you will be picking up a puppy soon, please read to help you get acquainted with him or her. Knowledge is the power and key to success. There are many myths about puppies, most are just that. If you have any questions or concerns after reading, please feel free to contact us. You do need Adobe Acrobat Reader as these have been made into PDF Files. Here is a copy of our Sales/Health Contract, Pedigree (printed out on glossy photo paper), and puppy adoption questionnaire, to see if a rat terrier is right for you.
One often overlooked detail is a pedigree. This is included with the price of the puppy and I don't know if most people realize that to get a pedigree from the kennel clubs cost about $10 per generation for a minimum of three generations so $30 is the least you will pay and it does not include the coat colors, pictures or registration numbers of the ancestors.
Also, very important, is the food you feed your puppy. We use Flint River Ranch Holistic food that can be ordered and delivered to your door within 2 days. I have been using this food for about 4 years & it is the food of choice. It is easliy diegestable, contains no corn and the ingredients are all human grade, no junk or garbage plus no dyes which are not good to give your pups or dogs. If you choose not to continue to feed this food, please use the following guidelines when feeding your pup: First & foremost, the first ingredient on any dog food should be chicken or lamb, the protein which just like humans, is very important. Dyes are bad (again just like humans)& the reality is, dyed food is for the human eye, not the dogs as dogs have no idea red are carrots, etc. Many dogs have or develop stomach irrations and allergies to corn so if at all possible, eliminate this filler. Your pup will come with a 1 lb. bag of food. If you decided to feed a different brand, you will need to mix our food gradually in with the new food to get their digestive system use to it slowly. Switching food will cause diarreah. | Album by Busy Bee Kennel. Photos by Busy Bee. 1 - 10 of 10 Total. 811 Visits. |
