We live in a 112 year old farm house in a very rural area of South Carolina. Our house was built by the Norfolk Southern Railroad. It's original occupants were responsible for refilling the steam engines from a water tower across the road (now gone).
We have dense woods behind us, a huge pasture on one side and an open field on the other side. I can sit on my front porch and watch deer and rabbits scamper across the pasture in the evenings. It is very serene here and the only sounds we hear are my wind chimes in the evening breeze and barks from my beloved dogs when an "invader" appears.
The dogs have four play yards fenced with five foot chain link fencing. They have almost full shade (most of the day) and lots of room to run. We are very blessed to live in this small, close knit community and enjoy such beautiful surroundings.

1 This is a view of our home from the road. We have giant pecan and oak trees all over our yard.
2 Our front yard with some of the dogs out to play. I love all the color from these gorgeous old crapemyrtle trees. There are two more closer to the house that are a magenta color.

4 Front yard looking left toward huge pasture.
5 Left side play yard. All play yards have huge trees, shelter from the weather and swimming pools in the summer.
6 Our house through the gorgeous crapemyrtle. Foundation is brown from all of the rain (storms) we have had lately.
7 View from front yard to right We see deer grazing in this pasture almost every evening. Our neighbor uses this field for hay and rarely lets his cows in to graze.

11 Backyard I don't know what this bush is but it is covered with white flowers in the spring that drift in the breeze and literally cover the ground.
12 This little building was the original "smokehouse" for the farm. It still has that smokey fragrance inside. The dogs use it as their "den" when they just want to get away from the others and nap.
13 This is the side play yard for the dogs. We have four fenced yards - front, left, right and back. The middle (where this picture was taken) is our real back yard.
14 Back and right side play yards Where are all the dogs, you ask? Well, at my feet, of course!
15 You can actually see the house in the winter!! Oh, how I loved this snow!!
