The hurricane of September 8, 1900 that destroyed most of Galveston Island, southeast of Katy, also destroyed most of the buildings in Katy. The storm had such a dramatic affect on the town that it stands out in memory and so people talk of "before" and "after" the storm.
Shortly after I moved into my new house, Hurricane Ike hit Galveston, destroying much of the island and causing damage around southeast Texas, including Katy. My house sustained some damage. The move also was quite chaotic, as my Dad became very ill about the same time. While moving myself, I was also moving my parents to Katy and selling their home. So, Bree became the gentle (YEAH ... RIGHT) breeze "After The Storm".

May 2, 2010. The M*A*S*H boys are 8 months old. Bree wanted her picture made also. She is about 14 inches tall.
Bree had fun at the Lubbock 2010 AKC show. Here she is getting ready to launch.
And she is UP!!! What kind of gaiting is this?!?!?
She really can (and did eventually) move well.
Bree at obedience class April 27, 2010.
After Bree's final leg for her GRCH title ... with Judge Katherine Short.
Bree showing how it's done around the ring November 2009 in Hutto, TX.
Wahoo .... look what came in the mail today!!!
With Judge Jill Soble-Smith, who gave Bree her final points for her CH title. "Great picture of you both! Congrats..." View Comments...
Bree is just a fun loving girl. She LOVES her toys.
She also loves to tug.
Did I say this girl can TUG!!
She loves to play ball too. The neighbors dogs barked at her so she had to stop and take a look.
At five months, Bree stands 12.5 inches tall and weighs 11 pounds (no, this pic is not Bree ... I will add a current pic when I get a chance to take some)
December 20, 2008 I am 13 weeks (3 months) old. Yesterday I weighed 6 pounds at the vets.
Such a pretty girlie. Momma only had a few minutes to take pictures today.
Momma mainly got rear shots of me as I wanted to watch the neighbors.
Such a pretty head ... have I told you I LOVE sticks?
December 14, 2008 Bree chasing Mini.
December 8, 2008 Pretty head doncha think?
These next six pics of Bree were taken by Barbie on November 26. I will get some more next weekend.
Bree came home with me from Hutto November 30, 2008. She was a VERY GOOD BABY on the way home. Just a few times of crying for only a couple of minutes ..... then she would settle right down.
Watch me do the Texas Two Step!!
She played very well when we got home. I did several things to make noises (like throwing a shoe). She startled just a tiny bit ... then went to investigate. I LOVE this girl's temperament..
You looking at me?! I am a pretty girlie, aren't I?
Bree ate very well. Two chicken necks and some tripe ... with a little finger and toes added in ... but they squealed. She is such a good baby.
How about this pose .... bootiful!!
Bree cried just a bit when I put her to bed, but settled in to sleep very quickly. Not bad for a girl's first night away from her siblings!!!
My nose feels funny!!
I took Bree out around 3:00 in the morning and she pottied, cried just a tad when I put her back in her crate, then back to sleep until morning.
I am a very good frog dog.
Bree pottied when I took her out for her morning walk. She played with leaves and bounced around having a good time. I took her to her where her Granny N was sleeping. She played on the bed for a long time before I put her back in her crate. She settled right down and was fast asleep when I left for work.
Here's my baby girl with her momma Bama. Aren't they adorable. November 19, 2008
I can hardly wait to get Bree home and acclimated to Katy and her "sisters".
Bree is growing up fast. She has such a precious sweet face.

This little one stood on the table as we 'discussed' her...totally stacked for almost 15 minutes...she never moved a muscle...she was very comfortable doing just that...amazing! Weight at 7 weeks 4 pounds 1 ounce.
Thank you Barbie!!!! Bree is coming South to Katy - to live with us and two other Rat Terriers ... and a Boxer... she'll be learning how to be a show dog...and at the same time...she'll be getting the basics to begin an agility and obedience career someday. We are so thrilled to have Bree join our family.
Cheese is YUMMY!
Breeze has the best all around temperament of the group...she is curious with the appropriate amount of common sense added in. She has no basic fears...startles and then is curious. I stepped on her accidently right before her table session...she forgave me when she tasted the cheese. She has a nice earset with with good moderate angles. She is a little straighter in the shoulder but not by much...she is a very balanced puppy...she will be a large mini or a small standard.
The Babes...tug, tug it...tug! Bree is second from the left/bottom.
Awe...someone is pulling hard...go Bree (bottom)!
Where did the tug go? lots of piebald puppies! LOL! Bree is on the right.
Bree hard at work during her visit outside at six weeks.
Still working
Yeeeeeeeeeehaaa!!!! I just love being outside on a pretty day.
A girl's work is never done.
What's going on ..... I can't see over you gals.
Wheeeeee .... I LOVE to run!!
I also love my Momma.
I'm such a pretty girlie.
Gotta check out every inch of the place.
Breeze had an accident over the week...she got stung by either a bee or a scorpion...the vet and I aren't sure which. We know she wasn't bit by a spider as there is only one entrance wound. I didn't take any close up photos of her...she is still swollen and not feeling 100%...but she went outside with her sisters...and was a trooper. At 4 weeks...Breezie...weighed in as the smallest at 2 pounds 2 ounces..we are glad that she is on the upside of her bug bite...and can't wait to show you nice close ups of this baby...
Breeze from the left...you can see even though the major swelling is on the other side...how it has affected her head.
She is sassy though...and although she is on meds from the vet...for the sting...she enjoyed her time outside in the sun. The meds (antibiotics and antihistimines) seem to make her a little slower than her sisters...
Breeze weighed in at 3 weeks at 1 pound 9 1/2 ounces. Definitely a smaller package than her sisters - it's visable when you see them all together...but she is an imp...she can often be seen chewing on one of the bigger girls body parts...or suckling her momma's ear...She is not quite as assertive in her wants as the other girls...and is usually quiet...but I can see a feistyness in her eyes...we'll be watching that!
Breeze...I find her facial markings a bit unusual...notice the black pigment how it runs through the white...will be fun to watch and see if it changes.
Moving...next week will be fun...hopefully I can get the girls outside for their 4 week shots...I'm sure they don't want to be back on this photo stand! At least for sure I don't want them to be...too busy for me!
Breeze is the smallest babe in the litter...weighing in at two weeks at 1 pound 2 ounces. She is forever looking for food (ala Who PUPPY) and sings out her displeasure when she can. She is easy to do toenails...enjoys her belly rubs...and becomes quite content to be held and cuddled.
Breeze and Summer are very similar in markings on their right side. It will be fun to see which of these two gets ears up first...they both seem to be working on them...
She's out of focus but here is little Breeze from the right!
Meet Breeze - weighed in at one week at 12 1/2 ounce.
Showing off her show side!
Breeze is taking in all her surroundings!
F4 - she's got beautiful tan points...and a sweet face! Birth weight 4.6 ounces
Black/White/Tan Bur-Way After The Storm @ KTR
Beautiful markings on this sweet little girlie!!!
This wee widdle girl is going to make a big impact on those she meets.
