ALPAMAYO

Alpamayo-Cordillera Blanca PERU, is considered to be one of the most beautiful mountains of the world, and standing atop its summit is a vast thrill for any climber, a highlight of an alpinist's career. This remarkable peak combines wildly fluted faces with knife-edge ridges Alpamayo's Southwest Face offers 1,200 ft. of challenging alpine ice, much of it at 60 degrees or steeper.

This expedition demanded a synthesis of high altitude performance and technical climbing skills designed for experienced climbers.

I would like to dedicate this collection of pictures to the memory of Renzo Ucelli, a great Peruvian climber and photographer, a pionner in adventure photography, whose amazing work has inspired me.

Beto: Mis mas sinceras felicitaciones; las fotos son realmente impresionantes y tal como ya lo hemos conversado previamente, demuestra claramente tu profesionalismo por la fotografía, Esto es un claro ejemplo que los peruanos tenemos el talento, lo único que nos hace falta es la dedicación, perseverancia y sobretodo la AMBICIÓN de hacer las cosas de la mejor forma, no tan solo pensando en ser los mejores de la zona, sinó a nivel mundial. Solamente pensando en grande se hacen cosas grandes, tal como tú lo estas haciendo.

Es facil notar que tu trabajo está al mismo nivel, e inclusive superando muchos de los trabajos de los principales fotógrafos de National Geographic, una vez mas, mis felicitaciones, también quiero manifestarte que personalmente siento orgullo de ser tu amigo y finalmente gracias por permitirnos disfrutar tu trabajo.
