Meet Tifton!

She is a happy, frisky, lively girl.

She is still quite puppyish, at just 1 year old.

Tifton stands 13" tall and is about 13" long. She weighs about 12 lbs.

She is a "country" Rat Terrier mix who is confident, eager, alert, and inquisitive.
|

Tifton was found at a kill shelter where she was about to be euthanized because no one had come to claim her.

How could that be?! She is such a loving, affectionate, friendly girl!

Tifton LOVES toys, and she will carry them around the house, take them out in the yard, then bring them back in again. She loves to play tug with you or chase a toy or ball when you throw it.

Even better is lap time!

She is people-oriented and loves to be right with you, no matter what you are doing.
|

She manages to weasel her way onto your lap because she is sure you'd rather be patting her than working on the computer!

Tifton has learned to use the doggie door and is mostly housetrained. But she doesn't know how to "ask" to go out, so if she doesn't have access to the doggie door and you forget to take her on a schedule, she may have an accident.

At home, Tifton is usually very quiet (unless the doorbell rings), but at PetSmart Adoption Day, she enjoyed barking loudly at most other dogs walking by.

She gets along fine with her canine foster siblings. She thinks the cat is very interesting, and will go up to her to touch noses. Mostly she ignores her but gets excited if the cat is up running around.
