Say hello to Ms. Brie.
She is a gentle, shy, submissive 8-year old.
Brie weighs just 15 lbs.
She craves attention and lap time and she will stare at you hopefully, waiting for you to get the hint.
Occasionally she will decide that you need a little encouragement.

Most of the time, though, she is content to just snooze. She doesn't play with toys but she does enjoy a nice warm dog bed.
Brie gets along fine with other dogs, mostly just ignoring them and doing her own thing. She is quire submissive to them and will share her space without complaint, but if another dog gets too pushy, especially at meal time, she isn't afraid to tell them off.
Brie gets nervous if she thinks someone is trying to "get" her (such as hands reaching for her), and she will cringe, curving her body into a "U", and even rolling over onto her back in appeasement. Sometimes this nervousness makes her piddle a little, so taking things slowly and giving her plenty of reassurance is needed.
Brie hates the camera and having her picture taken. She will turn away, duck her head, and show signs of nervousness like lip licking, yawning, and cowering.
If I finally manage to get a clear photo it's not very interesting.
Even though I can't capture it well in pictures, she IS a cutie and is personable.
Nervously pacing in the yard because she knows I'm watching her with the camera.
"Okay, I'll stand still, but I WON'T say cheese!"

Brie's housetraining isn't perfect. She will readily do her business when she goes outside, but she is sometimes hesitant to go out (perhaps because scary noises?) and she never tells you when she needs to go, so she requires a regular schedule.
She loves to roll on her back in the sunshine.
Consistent kindness and gentleness will win her trust.
Other than the occasional accident in the house, Brie has perfect manners and is a super easy dog to care for.
She is quiet, easy-going, and accommodating.
Brie is unfamiliar with verbal cues (like "come" or "sit"). We get the impression that in her previous home(s) she didn't get much one-on-one attention or training.
