WOW what a year, 2007 was pretty exciting. Echo was in the top ten another year, winning National Best of Breed under Jeannie Heger, and getting Reserve Best in Show at the Premier.
What an experience to be able to participate at that level with all of those other wonderful dogs.
Getting his first Total dog, winning so many Best in Show & Reserve Best in Shows, I lost count.

Buzzy had another remarkable year in UKC conformation. I couldn't resist bringing Buzzy out of semi-retirement and campaigning for just 4 months in 2007 from late July through late November. With such limited showing for the year, Buzzy amazed me yet again with finishing the year being ranked #3 on the UKC Top Ten list (ranked #1 in 2006 when campaigned for a full year)!
Although training, handling and conditioning is part of the formula, it also takes a dog with correct type and structure to the written UKC standard, excellent movement, and a charismatic personality to win with consistency under a large variety of judges with some tough competitors. At the UKC Top Ten 2007 competition, Buzzy became a UKC Top Ten Winner and Finalist!

Bond bred and co-owned with Bur-way Stars Kennel, stands 14" tall weighs about 16 lbs. He is a great show dog, with a wonderful outgoing temperment, heart and prey drive. We are proud of Bond's 2007 accomplishments in the show ring.

Everyone that has ever walked into a show ring dreams of having that “Once In A Lifetime” dog. Jeter is that and more to me. He has never let me down whether in the ring or as my faithful and loving best friend. He is amazing to watch with his flowing movement, correct structure and flamboyant attitude. Jeter earned 8 Best in Multi Breed Show titles, 3 Reserve Best In Multi Breed Show titles along with 45 BOB and 42 group placements under 35 different judges as well as an Award of Excellence at the 2006 Premier. He showed the promise of excellence as a 6 month old when he took his first BOB with a Top Ten dog in the ring.
All I can say is that I consider it a privilege to be on the end of his lead, and I look forward to many years together as partners.
Hannah is a daughter of our 2006 Top Ten Best of Breed winner and Semi-finalist, Trevor. I am proud of her show accomplishments to date. Standing 16" tall and weighing 22 lbs, she is an elegant yet working rat terrier with sound conformation and temperment.
Hannah's show career started late in the year (June) of 2007, just after turning 6 months old, and she was still able to make it into UKC's 2007 Top Ten. She has beautiful reach and drive, and has only begun to blossom. Look for Hannah in the conformation ring in 2008.

Words can not describe how grateful I am to be given the opportunity to co-own and show this amazing girl. Thank you Barbie and Shelly.
Uno’s first show weekend was in Charlotte, NC as a 9 month old puppy. I will never forget that weekend. She beat her father GRCH Star’s Mission Impossible aka Cruise, #1 Rat Terrier at that time and #1 Rat for the year out of a large class. What an amazing win.
Uno career includes multiple BIMBS and RBIMBS. Premier 2006, Uno won a Terrier Group 1 and National Best of Breed at Premier in 2007. She was in the TOP 10 in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
I have been very blessed to have been given this awesome girl! Uno is my dog of a lifetime.

Dooley was number 9 on the UKC Top Ten Rat Terrier list for 2007. He was also honored at the ARTA National with an Award of Excellence.
Dooley came by his name (dare devil) honestly. As a youngster, Dooley was an acrobat and fearless of heights. The Doo Man also loves water and holds his breath as he searches underneath. He’s quite a character!
Dooley is a grandson of GRCH RaganRat Bailey Boy, BIMBS, who was also a Top Tener for two consecutive years. We are proud of Dooley’s accomplishments!

Burrell came to us as a 13 week old baby...born shortly after my father, Burrell Fortenberry passed away from melinoma cancer. He truly holds a very special place in all our hearts...he is a big lover boy who always has a minute for a hug from his humans. Burrell hit the show ring as a Novice puppy taking 3 out of 3 BISP's at 14 weeks of age...and he just kept it up from there...his show career consisted of 6 Best In Show Puppy honors and 5 Reserve Best In Show Puppy Honors; as a licened entrant he was awarded 5 Best of Breeds, 3 Terrier Group 1's, 1 Best In Multi-Breed Show, 1 Reserve Best In Multi-Breed Show and he was the winner of the ARTA Spring Specialty! With limited showing he made his way into the Top Ten...where he stayed the entire year...even though he was not shown after June 2007.
