Emergency Food Bucket (November 18, 2006)| One day, while shopping at Costco, I saw this. This hearkens back to the 80's with the Cold War, the treat of immanent nuclear destruction, and Ronald Raygun. It was a mere $109.99 per bucket which is supposed to provide 275 meals, is all vegetarian, and is supposed to last 20 whole years. |

Eyes Wide Open (March 25-27, 2005)An exhibit on the human cost of the Iraq war put together by the American Friends Service Committee with the help of many people and organizations. This exhibit has been touring the country. These photos and videos were taken in the San Francisco Civic Center Plaza on 3/25 & 26/05.
The exhibit is a field of empty boots - one for each US soldier killed in Iraq, as well as some representational civilian shoes to momorialize Iraqi's killed.
This gallery contains pictures and videos. look around for both...
The videos include some speeches of family members of dead soldiers. Moving stuff.
Videos are in Windows Media Format (wmv). if you would like to see the FEATURE VIDEO in Real Player format (rm) go here: feature_video.rm
