Anubis was depicted as a jackal or a man with a dogs head, he was originally a God from Abydos in Upper Egypt. He guided the dearly departed to the next life via the court of Osiris in the Underworld. His fame was constantly on top during all periods of the long Egyptian history. Anubis was also an ancient divinity to whom prayers for the survival of the deceased in the Afterlife were addressed before Osiris rose to prominence as the god of the dead. Anubis continued to assist in the judgement of the dead and accompanied the deceased to the throne of Osiris for the ritual of the Weighing of the Heart.

The Method of Imprinting is utilized at Anubis Kennels
Imprinting is the art of introducing a human to a newborn animal shortly after its birth. In the wild, communication takes place between mother and offspring within seconds after birth. This process of bonding strengthens the maternal/infant relationship and this helps to ensure newborn survival. Some animals, especially dogs, naturally attach to humans. Unique for this behavior in the animal kingdom, dogs are instinctively willing to establish and maintain relationships with man kind. This is especially true of canines. Dogs display an uncanny devotion to their human companions and thrive on healthy relationships with them in their everyday lives. At Anubis Kennels we enable our children and other pets to have close immediate contact after birth to ensure that they will gain the trust and confidence that is so important in their life ahead.
