Adopted in 1983 the Polish designed Wz83 Vanad "Eagle" is the standard sidearm of the Polish military & Police since that time, it's chambered in the standard Combloc 9x18 Makarov round & is a distinctive design.

Wz83 right view There were a few WZ83 (P83) pistols brought in a few years ago by Dalvar, an importer in Texas, I believe about 250 were brought in in 3 batches, the first 50 or so were in military configuration w/fixed sights & standard type hammer (as the pistol shown here), the next 2 batches of approximately 100 each had round hammers & adjustable sights.
