Retreat 2005
150. Retreat 2005  (October 23, 2005)
On and off, over twenty people joined the retreat.  Some wrote poem, some wrote songs, some took pictures, while Father Coghlan and Peter Tam impressed us with their Gregorian Chants. It has been an enlightening and refreshing experience for those that joined.  See you all next year.  Simon Chan took some wonderful pictures of the Lotus, the turtles and scenic spots. Godfrey Lam wrote a peom on the turtles:

I am a big little tortoise
Lying in the bright warm sun.
Perched on a dry little rock
On my side is my young little son.

The pond is our world and universe
Though small we call it our home sweet home.
The water is murky and yes it stinks
Yet we love it for we are not alone.

From here we can see the trees around
The sun, the moon, the stars and the mounts.
When predators near with frightening smell
We dive to pray they can’t see our shells.

But when men come we are not afraid.
It’s their hands that feed us many a day.
Only my lad still jumps when he sees one
For he may be after a prey, he says.
