WC62 RANGOON DODGE PEOPLE HAULER In Jan 06 I took a trip to Burma to visit the Ledo Road and to look for WWII vehicles to photograph. In Rangoon I came across probably 3 dozen or so of these WC51 and WC62 or (WC52s or WC63s with winches removed) that have been coverted to people haulers or commerial trucks. Most of these were along a street that sound like "insane street" but I am sure that is not the correct spelling. Rangoon must have the largest population of these truck that are still being used daily in the world. I call them the Rangoon Dodges for that reason.
When I first saw some of the Dodges I thought they were WC51s and couldn't figure out how they had stretch the bed to haul more people. When I went across the street to get a picture of one then I noticed the large wheel well and noticed they were WC62s with one of the axles removed.
You see these trucks just parked along the street. ?waiting for the rush hour? "Dodge M601 post-WWII. 1960..." "I think you may be right o..." "The dash looks quite diffe..." View Comments...

The flat head six just keeps ticking after all these years of hard work.
I suspect all these WCs have been modified one way or another like this alternator.
Don't think that is a Dodge starter, Japanese most likely.
Not dodge, I think I was told it was GMC but probably Japanese
