Battery Park Battery Park is still cleaning up from Hurricane Sandy. Park benches seem fine by the water. Most of the construction is closer to the street. Lots of projects going on and tried to focus on quieter areas.
Near the Statue of Liberty docks was busy with some tenting and Castle Clinton is closed. And different parks projects in areas with trailers parked or machinery or fenced in areas. Not sure what was clean up or long term project. But probably best to revisit the park in December or January-post clean up. The area and buildings around the park are still cleaning up post storm with lots of buildings with equipment and trucks outside and traffic diverted.
