I promised my brother I would go snowboarding this year, and since I don't break my promises, I took a day off work to go boarding with him. I haven't tried to snowboard in over 2 years. Let's see how I do. LOL

1 My new sweet-ass board. My brother and his ultra-cool girlfriend, Jen, got it for me for my combo Birthday/Christmas gift. It's a really good board. Thanks guys! I love it!
2 This is a closeup shot of the top of the board. I love Dragons and this picture is a work of art. I mean, cmon! How fucking sweet is that?!?!
3 Jason at the bottom of the mountain.
Is it bad that I was looking at this young girl in pigtails and thinking evil thoughts? You're right. Probably not.
4 Jason makes it look easy.
5 Steep hill. It's a lot steeper than it looks. This is the bottom of the Black Diamond run.
6 This is almost my version of heaven. 2 cute girls, wearing football jerseys, that snowboard... all that's missing is alcohol and some 3-way action. Needless to say, the alcohol came, but I didn't. :(
7 Jason (on the upper left) making his way down the mountain.
8 OH MY GOD! LOOK OUT FOR THOSE SKIIERS!
9 Jason hits the brakes and kicks up some snow. Nice job little bro!
10 Then it was time for some food and drinks where Jason tells me his story about how he was on the Black Diamond Obstacle Trail and he did this huge 10 foot jump. He was like, "So I see this jump and I get all psyched. I slide up to it, jump off, and realize it's a lot longer than it looks. Next thing I know, I look up towards the sky and I see my snowboard and the clouds at the same time. I knew that wasn't a good sign." Ya think?!?! LOL
This is a view from the top of the restaurant's deck.
11 Another shot from the upper deck. This is the steep hill. The one I avoided like the plague.
I had reconstructive surgery on my ankle 1 1/2 years ago. I have been VERY afraid of hurting it again. I was only able to make a couple of runs down the mountain because my feet and legs hurt from the awkward angles of pedalling the board along to the lift. I guess I just have to get used to it.
I also think the highback bindings were making me hurt as well since they lock your leg in tighter than step-ins. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
12 Me coming down the mountain... and there's actually a snowboard underneath me instead of a stretcher!
13 My fat ass sliding down the mountain, but still on the board!
14 Straight outta Brooklyn! Where the women at?!?!
15 There wasn't enough snow to make a huge whitewash on my brothers face, so the pathetic looking fizzle of snow under my snowboard is about as much of a spray as you're gonna see.
16 My bro should have video taped this run. I came down nice and smooth. He was like, "You actually looked like you knew what you were doing on that run." Thanks Jay. I love you too man. :P
17 Is it just me, or do I look like something out of Star Wars on the planet Hoth? Gimme a lightsaber!
18 OK, so I fell once trying to do a 720-reverse-indy-nosegrab. (You weren't there, so you don't know.) During my spill, my board jutted out to the left just as some little asian kid was boarding by me. I nailed him in the leg with the board. That had to hurt. I apologized to him, and he said he was OK. I told him he shouldn't have been boarding so close to me when I am trying to pull of my super awesome tricks. He mumbled something in Chinese and took off. Jerk.
19 And what trip is complete without a random shopping spree? Me and my brother went into ODD-LOT and found some cool (and some not so cool) stuff. I have NO IDEA how the hell we spent an hour in there, but we did. Thanks for driving, Jason. You were awesome on the slopes! I'm proud of ya!
Anyway, I had a great day with my brother, but I think I'm hanging up my board until next season when I get some step-ins. Then I will own the mountain. w00t!
