N24 from Limerick ran through Tipperary (it was a long way....)
A simple shot of Tipperary scenery through the windshield.
Heading to Waterford, hoping to find distant relatives.
Just another of many castles all around the countryside.
...this one looks even older than Bunratty, and hasn't been restored, yet.
Yep, we're going in the right direction for Waterford.

Travelled in a full circle and ended up where we had already passed. Asked directions and the couple knew exactly who we were looking for!
Terry poses with Mary Morrissey (the last remaining sibling of his paternal grand-mother) and Pat Power (who is the widower of Mary's and grand-ma Kenney's sister Josie).
Without calling ahead, we just knocked on the door one afternoon and were warmly welcomed (including by Kerry, the dog)
The church where the Morrissey and Power families celebrate their lives' milestones
Josie Power was a sister of Terry's paternal grandmother. Josie and Pat never had children.

The road toward the old Morrissey family farm. (The family no longer owns it, or lives there.)
The exact spot where the farmhouse once stood.
A view of the scenery off in the distance, from where the farm once stood.
The building where the Morrissey children were born. The mid-wife who delivered all the babies lived here a long time ago.

Mary shared with us an old souvenir picture. She wanted to give it to us, but instead we graciously offered to make our own picture from it.
Too bad we only had a couple hours to visit. Pat and Mary invited us to stay overnight, but we had to get back to UK for our flight home the next morning
Back to the main road through Waterford county, and on toward Blarney in County Cork.

Went through the seaport town of Dungarvan. Definitely a place to stop at if we ever get back to Ireland.
